3" Bottom Drain with Integrated Air Diffuser for Koi Ponds

The EasyPro BDA combines a 3" bottom drain with an integrated 10" rubber air diffuser, delivering both bottom water circulation and aeration from a single liner penetration point. The air diffuser connects to the top section of the drain and creates rising air bubbles that lift waste and debris off the pond floor toward the drain opening for removal through your filtration system.

Bottom Drainage and Aeration in One Unit

Traditional bottom drains rely on suction alone to remove debris from the pond floor. The BDA adds air injection directly at the drain, agitating settled particles and keeping them suspended so they can be drawn into the filtration system more efficiently. This is particularly effective in koi ponds where fish waste accumulates quickly. The dual rubber gasket and stainless steel screw liner seal provides a reliable watertight penetration.

How to Install

Install the drain body through the pond liner at the lowest point of the pond floor following the same procedure as the BD1. Connect the 10" rubber air diffuser to the top-section air fitting and run an airline to your pond air pump or compressor. Run the drain outlet to your pump or filter system with 3" pipe. Adjust air volume to create gentle, continuous agitation above the drain face.
