4" Heavy-Duty Bottom Drain for High-Volume Koi Ponds

The EasyPro EBD4 is a 4" heavy-duty bottom drain built for higher-flow koi pond and water garden installations where a 3" drain cannot handle the required volume. The roto-moulded body provides superior structural strength, and a welded FPT threaded inlet eliminates the need for a separate rubber coupling at the pipe connection, simplifying installation and reducing leak points.

Roto-moulded manufacturing produces a thick-walled, impact-resistant drain body that withstands freeze-thaw expansion in cold Canadian winters without cracking. The welded FPT inlet accepts standard 4" threaded fittings directly, making the connection to your pump or filter plumbing clean and secure. Ideal for koi ponds over 10,000 gal (37,850 L) or any installation where 3" drainage is insufficient to maintain proper bottom circulation.

How to Install

Position the EBD4 at the lowest point of the pond floor before laying the liner. Thread the inlet fitting directly into the welded FPT port and connect 4" plumbing to your pump or filter. Cut the liner and sandwich it between the drain flanges, securing with the included hardware. Connect the outlet to a 4" pump or gravity filter return line.

Ideal for large koi ponds, high-volume water gardens, and fish systems over 10,000 gal (37,850 L) where 4" bottom drainage is required for effective circulation and waste removal.
