Description
AMGO Caster Kit for 407-P, 408-P and 409-HP Parking Lifts
This is the accessory that keeps an AMGO parking lift from becoming part of the building. It is a set of four casters for the 407-P, 408-P, 408-HP, 408-HPX, 409-HP and 409-HPX, and the thing worth knowing before anything else is that it needs no tools: the casters fit and lift off again in a few minutes, so they can go on for a move and come straight back off afterwards.
That single detail is why the kit exists. A parking lift is bought to buy floor space, and floor space is exactly the thing people change their mind about — after the first winter, after a new bench arrives, after the bay next door changes job. Without casters, moving an assembled parking lift means taking it apart and putting it back together. With them, moving it is an afternoon.
Why a movable parking lift is worth more than a fixed one
A parking lift earns its keep by stacking one vehicle over another, which means it is usually installed in the tightest, most awkward corner of the building. Corners are also where you get the layout wrong. Ceiling obstructions, a door that swings further than you remembered, a garage that has to hold a workbench as well as two cars — none of that is obvious until the lift is standing up and loaded.
Being able to reposition an assembled lift changes how you make that first decision. You can install where it looks right, live with it, and correct it later without a rebuild. It also makes ordinary building maintenance possible: sealing, coating or repairing a slab under a fixed parking lift is a serious job, and under one that rolls it is a morning.
Tool-free, and why that is the point
Plenty of equipment can be moved eventually. What matters here is the effort involved, because effort is what decides whether a job gets done or lived with. A kit that needs no tools to fit and none to remove is a kit you will actually use for a one-off move, and one you can take back off so the lift stands on its own feet the rest of the time.
Treat the move itself as the serious part of the exercise. Reposition the lift empty and fully lowered, following the instructions in your own lift's manual, over a floor that is level, swept and clear. Plan the route before you start it: expansion joints, floor drains, thresholds and a cracked slab edge are all much harder to cross than they look when you are pushing several hundred pounds of steel. And a spot smooth enough to roll to is not automatically a spot flat enough to park a loaded lift on, so check the destination as carefully as the route.
Check the model before you order
- Your lift. This kit is listed for the 407-P, 408-P, 408-HP, 408-HPX, 409-HP and 409-HPX. Read the model from the lift's own data plate or its paperwork rather than from memory — the suffixes in this family are close enough to misremember.
- It is sold as a set. One set covers the lift; there is no partial-fit arithmetic to do.
- The floor at both ends. Anchoring, levelling and slab requirements come from your lift's manual and are unchanged by this kit. Moving the lift does not move those requirements with it — they have to be satisfied wherever it ends up, and that is the owner's responsibility, not the caster's.
Perfect For
- Home garages where the parking lift shares the building with everything else a garage has to hold, and the layout is still being worked out.
- Collectors who add and move vehicles and would rather rearrange the storage than commit to one plan for good.
- Shops with seasonal work, where a bay is a storage bay for part of the year and a working bay for the rest.
- Anyone facing floor work — coating, sealing or slab repair — who would rather roll a lift aside than dismantle it.
What is in the set
One set of four casters, supplied complete for the lift models listed above. We do not publish a separate fastener or hardware list for this kit, and rather than guess at one we will check it for you: ask before you order if you need to know exactly what arrives in the box.

Certification and compliance
We publish no third-party safety listing for this accessory and you should not assume one exists. A lift's own safety listing, where it has one, covers the lift as the manufacturer built, configured and tested it — an accessory fitted afterwards is a separate question. If your insurer, your fleet policy or your local inspector takes an interest in the listing status of your equipment, settle that question before you buy rather than after, and ask us if you want the manufacturer's documentation in front of you first.
Delivery and pickup
We ship to the lower 48, and warehouse pickup is available if that suits you better. Shipping is worked out against your own address during checkout rather than estimated here, so what you see is priced for where it is actually going. Whichever way it arrives, look the packaging over before you sign: a caster that has been dropped in transit does not always show it through a carton, so open it while the driver is still there if you can, and write anything you find on the delivery paperwork at the time. That note is what a damage claim is built on, and it cannot be added later.
Warranty
The manufacturer's warranty terms and the claim process are set out on our warranty claims page, and we will put the current document in front of you before you order if the terms matter to your decision. One practical warning that applies to every part we sell: if something fails, photograph it as it sits and contact us before any of it is taken apart. A component that has already been dismantled is generally treated as modified, and that turns a straightforward claim into an argument you are unlikely to win.
