Description
AMGO PRO-12A: alignment-ready hardware in a bay-sized footprint
The PRO-12A carries something the model number does not advertise: integrated slip plates and adjustable turnplate pockets, cut into the runways at the factory. That is the hardware a four-post needs before it can hold a wheel alignment, and it is the single most awkward thing to add to a lift afterwards.
What makes this particular model interesting is that it does it in a small footprint. 12,000 lbs of capacity, 200 3/4″ of lift without ramps, 9.25 ft between the columns and a 98 3/8″ drive-through — noticeably tighter than the heavier alignment lifts in the same family, and it still rises to 76″. If you have the work but not the floor, this is the model that solves it.
Will It Fit?
Confirm every one of these against your own building before ordering; the slab, the ceiling and the supply are the buyer's responsibility to verify.
- Length. 236 11/16″ overall with the ramps on, 200 3/4″ without them. Add approach room in front of the ramp end.
- Width. 126 5/16″ overall, 112 1/4″ between the columns, listed as 9.25 ft between columns. Alignment work means walking the vehicle repeatedly, so plan generous side clearance rather than the minimum.
- Drive-through. 98 3/8″ between the carriages, an 8.25 ft drive-thru width. That is the figure that decides which vehicles can be driven straight through.
- Ceiling. The structure is 86″ tall. Your requirement is the tallest vehicle you will raise plus the rise you use — never the height of the empty lift.
- Floor and power. The load lands on four base plates and the concrete has to be sound and level under all four. Slab thickness and strength are specified in the installation manual attached to this listing; read it before you order. The power unit is 2.0 HP and needs a dedicated, properly sized circuit installed by an electrician.
The alignment geometry, in numbers
Turnplate pockets are only useful if they land where your vehicles' wheels land. On the PRO-12A the four-wheel alignment span runs from 78 3/4″ at minimum to 155 1/2″ at maximum, and two-wheel alignment reaches 163 3/8″. In practice that covers the passenger cars, crossovers and light pickups a general shop sees, which is the market this lift is priced and sized for.
The slip plates do a separate job. When you set toe, the tyres must be free to slide sideways as the linkage moves; if they cannot, the suspension binds and the reading settles wrong the moment the vehicle rolls off. Slip plates let the wheels relax so the measurement reflects how the car will actually sit.
Stepless runways, and 76″ of rise
Runway width on the PRO-12A adjusts steplessly rather than in notches — 43 5/16″ between the runways as standard, adjustable from 39 3/8″ to 51 3/16″, with the outside edge at 83 5/16″ across a 43 3/8″ to 91 3/16″ range. Setting the track to the vehicle rather than to the nearest hole is what keeps each tyre properly inside its platform, and on a lift doing alignment work it also keeps the vehicle square to the plates.
Maximum lifting height is 76″. The working figure is the 72 7/8″ maximum lock height at the top of the runway, since a lift should rest on steel rather than pressure. Underneath there is 68 1/8″ of clearance with 65 3/8″ at the highest lock. Lowered, the platform sits at 8 5/8″. A full cycle takes 63 seconds.
The safety stack, and what each part is actually for
Three independent systems, because one is never enough. The mechanical self-locking device with air-driven release engages passively as the lift rises — locked is the default state, unlocked takes shop air and intent. The multiple primary safety locks spaced up the travel mean a failure drops the platform to the next lock rather than to the floor. The cable-slack protection system stops the lift when an equalising cable loses tension, which is how a cable-driven lift actually degrades over years as the cables stretch.
Cables are aircraft-standard. The hydraulic cylinder is built with high-quality oil seals and a compensation valve. None of it substitutes for the habit of lowering onto the locks before you get under the vehicle.
Perfect For
- Independent shops adding alignment without surrendering a bay to a single-purpose rack.
- Tyre shops where alignment follows most fitments and the lift has to do both jobs.
- Smaller commercial bays that cannot take a heavier alignment lift but need the capability.
- Serious home and restoration garages working on cars and light trucks rather than heavy vehicles.
What's in the Box
Supplied with the ETL certified power unit as standard, non-skid diamond platforms, the integrated slip plates and adjustable turnplate pockets, the mechanical self-locking safety device with its air-driven release, the primary safety lock set, the cable-slack protection system and aircraft-standard synchronisation cables. The current copy also notes it arrives with the necessary hardware and an instruction manual for assembly. Turnplates and alignment measuring heads are not included — the lift supplies the pockets and the geometry, not the instrumentation. Confirm any accessory with us before ordering.

Certification, stated plainly
The power unit shipped with the PRO-12A is ETL certified. That is a real listing and it is worth having, but read its scope carefully: it applies to the electrical power unit, not to the assembled lift, and it is not an independent third-party safety listing of the finished product. Those are different documents from different processes. If your insurer, a fleet contract, a manufacturer's franchise programme or your local jurisdiction requires whole-lift third-party certification — and alignment work in particular attracts that kind of clause — verify the exact requirement in writing before purchase.
Shipping and delivery
Freight only, lower 48. The carrier contacts you to arrange a delivery appointment. Unloading is the customer's responsibility: 2,919 lbs of crated lift needs a forklift, a telehandler or a dock, or you can take terminal pickup and collect it with suitable equipment. A residential delivery address carries a residential fee, priced live at checkout alongside the freight. Warehouse pickup is available at Manning, SC, Dallas, TX and Temecula, CA.
Inspect before you sign. Photograph the crate, and record anything wrong on the bill of lading while the driver is with you. A clean signature is your statement that the shipment arrived intact, and it is hard to argue past afterwards.
Warranty
The warranty terms for this lift, the exclusions, and how to open a claim are published on our warranty claims page. Check the live terms there rather than a figure quoted in marketing copy.
Do not disassemble a component before the claim is agreed. Opening a cylinder or a power unit to diagnose it is the fastest way to void cover on the part you were going to claim for. Call, describe the symptom, and leave it assembled.
