114W UV Clarifier for Koi Ponds up to 9,500 gal
Green water in a koi pond is caused by suspended single-celled algae that reproduce faster than most filters can manage. The Aqua UV 114W UVC Clarifier runs pond water through a UV chamber where high-intensity ultraviolet light disrupts algae cell reproduction. Most ponds clear within 3 to 5 days, sometimes overnight. Unlike chemical treatments, UV leaves no residues and works on all algae types year after year.
How UV Clarification Works
UVC light penetrates algae cell walls and disrupts DNA replication. The affected cells either die or clump (flocculate) and sink, where your filter captures them. At 114 watts, the Aqua UV delivers enough UV dosage to serve as a full sterilizer on ponds up to 4,400 gal or as a general clarifier on ponds up to 9,500 gal, depending on flow rate and stocking level.

Installation
Install in-line on the pump discharge side so water flows through the UV chamber at the correct rate. Mount in a frost-free location or remove before freeze-up in Canadian winters. Replace the lamp annually to maintain full UV output.
