Lock Your 3-Inch Check Valve in Place Securely

The Aquascape 3-inch Check Valve Threaded Collar is a replacement or supplemental locking collar that threads onto the outside of a 3-inch (7.6 cm) Aquascape check valve assembly to hold the valve body firmly within the plumbing run. Unlike slip fittings that bond permanently with solvent cement, the threaded collar allows the check valve to be removed for inspection or replacement without cutting the pipe.

Service-Friendly Check Valve Security

Permanent solvent-bonded check valves cannot be accessed without cutting the line, which adds cost every service cycle. The threaded collar design creates a watertight joint using a rubber gasket seal while remaining fully removable by hand. This makes annual inspections and check valve swaps a straightforward task rather than a plumbing repair.

How to Use

Thread the collar onto the check valve body by hand until snug. Install the valve into the plumbing run, then tighten the collar an additional half-turn. Do not use thread sealant tape on the collar as the gasket provides the seal. To remove for maintenance, simply unthread the collar by hand and slide the valve out of the line. Inspect the gasket annually for compression set or cracking and replace if needed.
