The Aquascape Classic Series Standard & Large Skimmer Filter Rack is a factory replacement filter mat support frame for Classic Series standard and large pond skimmers. The filter rack holds the mechanical filtration mat in the correct vertical position within the skimmer body, ensuring water passes through the mat evenly rather than bypassing around the edges or beneath a sagging mat.

Maintain Even Water Flow Through the Filter Mat

A broken or distorted filter rack allows the mat to collapse or shift out of position, creating bypass channels where unfiltered water and debris reach the pump without passing through the mechanical filtration zone. A correctly positioned rack ensures the mat spans the full skimmer opening from edge to edge, maximising debris capture and protecting the pump from coarse particles. Replacing a cracked rack is a minor repair that prevents a significant downstream consequence.

How to Use

Open the skimmer lid and remove the existing filter mat and rack. Inspect the skimmer interior for debris buildup and rinse clean. Insert the replacement rack into the skimmer body, confirming it engages the retention slots or rails at the sides of the skimmer interior. Place the filter mat into the rack and confirm it lies flat against all four edges without gaps. Replace the skimmer lid. Check the rack position seasonally to confirm the mat continues to seat correctly after thermal cycling.
