The Aquascape Ext 12000 3-P is a three-phase external pond pump rated at 12,500 GPH (47,319 LPH), delivering the same high-volume output as the single-phase Ext 12000 but designed for sites with three-phase power supply such as commercial properties, farms, and industrial facilities. Three-phase operation provides smoother, more efficient motor performance and is preferred where continuous high-duty-cycle pumping is required.

Three-phase power allows the Ext 12000 3-P motor to run at higher efficiency with less vibration and heat than a single-phase motor of equivalent output, extending bearing and seal life in continuous operation. Commercial water feature installations, large koi collections, and aquaculture operations that have access to three-phase power benefit significantly from the reduced operating cost and extended service life of three-phase motor designs at this output level.

How to Use

Install the Ext 12000 3-P on a stable, level surface adjacent to the pond or water feature. Ensure the pump is primed before first start-up; connect the inlet plumbing to the pond or sump intake at a level that maintains a positive suction head. Connect the discharge to 5 cm (2 in) plumbing routed to the waterfall, filter, or distribution manifold. Electrically connect the motor to the three-phase supply through a suitable motor starter with thermal overload protection. The oil-free, fan-cooled TEFC motor requires no lubrication but should be inspected annually. Change the mechanical seal oil according to the service schedule in the pump manual.
