Sized for the 33" square Aquascape Fountain Bowl, this media net turns a decorative water feature into a biologically active system. It holds bio-filter media in the water flow path, supporting the bacteria colonies that break down fish waste and organic debris before they cloud the water.
How It Works
The net suspends below the pump inside the bowl, keeping loose bio-media from clogging the pump screen while positioning it directly in the pump's intake flow. Bacteria growing on the media surface process ammonia and suspended organics continuously, reducing the green tint and odour that appear when untreated water stagnates in warm weather.

How to Use
Pack the net with bio-media, tie it closed, and seat it beneath the pump. The net should sit loosely enough to allow water to flow around it freely. Rinse in collected pond water every 4 to 6 weeks; avoid tap water, which kills beneficial bacteria. Replace the net at the first sign of mesh breakdown.
