How Flocculants Clear Water

Fine suspended particles carry a surface charge that keeps them dispersed in the water column. Clarifier compounds neutralise this charge, causing particles to aggregate into larger clusters heavy enough to fall out of suspension or large enough to be caught by mechanical filter media. The result is noticeably clearer water within 24 to 48 hours of treatment in ponds with functioning filtration. Clarifier is especially effective after algaecide treatment, when dead algae cells need to be removed from the water column quickly.

How to Use

Follow dosage instructions on the product label, as professional-grade concentrate requires dilution before application. Pour the measured dose evenly across the pond surface or near the filter return for distribution. Run the filtration system continuously for 24 to 48 hours after treatment to capture the clumping particles before they decompose on the bottom. Clean or backwash the filter mat 48 hours after treatment to remove accumulated material.
