Pond Dechlorinator and Fish Protector, Protect for Ponds SL 32 oz

Aquascape Protect for Ponds SL 32 oz (946 mL) is a liquid dechlorinator and fish stress coat treatment that neutralises chlorine and chloramines in tap water and detoxifies heavy metals during water changes or pond startup. The SL formula applies directly to the pond without an automatic dosing system.

Chlorine in tap water is lethal to beneficial bacteria and harmful to fish gills within minutes of contact. Protect neutralises both chlorine and the more persistent chloramines that many Canadian municipalities use, making new water safe before it reaches fish. The added slime coat protector helps fish recover from handling, shipping, and the disruption of water changes, reducing post-event disease vulnerability.

How to Use

Apply at 1 oz (30 mL) per 100 gal (379 L) of new water being added to the pond. Add to the pond before or during water addition. During spring startup after refilling, dose the full pond volume before adding fish. After adding new fish, dose the full pond volume to protect existing fish from stress caused by pH and chemistry changes that accompany new fish introductions.
