The large surface area of the removable cage prevents large debris from clogging the filter and significantly decreases maintenance. The low-profile filter contains a pre-filtration sponge pack ideal for capturing smaller debris. The Aquascape Submersible Pond Filter also contains ceramic filtration rings, providing substantial surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize. The threaded intake and included multi-hose adapter ensure the filter is ready to adapt to most pond pumps with a small piece of pipe or ¾” threaded fitting.
