Replacement Filter Sponge for the Ultra 400 G3 Pump
The Aquascape Ultra 400 Water Pump G3 Filter Sponge replaces the foam pre-filter on the Ultra 400 G3 when it compresses permanently or no longer cleans to adequate flow. The sponge captures debris before it reaches the impeller, extending pump life between full cleanouts.

How to Use
Remove the pump and unplug. Remove the front cover and extract the spent sponge. Insert the replacement sponge and confirm it seats fully around the impeller housing. Refit the front cover and reinstall. Rinse the sponge every 2 to 4 weeks during the season in pond water to clear accumulated debris.
Replace the sponge when rinsing in pond water no longer restores normal flow. Leaving a permanently compressed sponge in place lets fine debris bypass the filter and reach the impeller, accelerating wear on a pump that is typically running continuously through the season.
