The Atlantic Water Gardens 1/2 HP fountain replacement float (single piece) is the buoyancy body replacement for the larger 1/2 HP floating fountain pump. The single-piece construction of this float provides a unified, structurally robust buoyancy body with fewer joints or seams than multi-piece designs — reducing the risk of stress cracking at assembly points and simplifying the float replacement process. Replace when the original float develops cracks, loss of buoyancy, or visible UV degradation that affects the fountain's surface position and spray pattern symmetry.

1/2 HP Float Characteristics

The 1/2 HP float body is proportionally larger than the 1/4 HP version to provide the additional buoyancy needed for the heavier 1/2 HP pump motor. The single-piece design distributes the pump weight evenly across the full float volume, providing better lateral stability in wind and reducing the rocking motion that can interrupt a symmetrical spray pattern on choppy water.

Installation

Remove the 1/2 HP pump motor from the damaged float using the pump coupler. Install the pump into the replacement float and return to the water body. No tools required for standard pump-to-float transfer.
