Buoyancy Body for Floating Fountain

The Atlantic Water Gardens 1/4 HP fountain replacement float is the buoyant float body that keeps the 1/4 HP floating fountain pump at the correct water surface height. Over time, UV exposure, impact damage, or material fatigue can cause the original float to crack, deform, or lose buoyancy — causing the fountain pump to sit too low or sink unevenly, disrupting the symmetry of the fountain pattern and potentially drawing air into the pump intake. This replacement float restores the correct buoyancy and surface position without requiring full pump replacement.

Why Floats Need Replacement

Floating fountain floats are continuously exposed to UV radiation, fluctuating water temperatures, freeze-thaw cycling, and physical stress from wind-driven movement on the water surface. After several seasons, even high-quality float bodies can develop hairline cracks or surface degradation. Replacing just the float body when this occurs — rather than the complete fountain unit — is significantly more economical.

Installation

The replacement float connects to the pump body via the pump coupler. Remove the pump from the damaged float, transfer it to the replacement float using the existing or replacement coupler, and return the assembly to the water. No tools are required.
