The Atlantic Water Gardens Biopress 1000 filter clamp replaces the lid retention clamp (original part number 15327) on the Oase Biopress 1000 pressurised pond filter. The filter clamp secures the lid to the bucket body under operating pressure — a failed or weakened clamp allows the pressurised lid to unseat, releasing the seal and causing the filter to lose flow and discharge water. Replace any cracked, bent, or permanently deformed clamps immediately.

Critical Pressure Retention Component

The Biopress 1000 is a pressurised filter, meaning the housing operates above ambient pressure when the pump is running. The lid clamp bears this pressure load continuously throughout the pond season. UV exposure, temperature cycling, and repeated open-close cycles during maintenance gradually weaken the clamp plastic. When a clamp cracks or loses its grip — even partially — the resulting small lid movement is enough to break the seal and allow bypass flow that bypasses the filter media. Replace all clamps showing visible deformation at spring startup.

How to Replace

Depressurise the system and disconnect power. Open the existing clamp and remove the damaged unit. Install the new clamp in its place, ensuring it seats correctly in the lid and bucket channel. Close and confirm firm engagement without gaps. Restart the filter and inspect for any lid movement or seepage at the clamp locations under operating pressure.
