Vitronic / Cleartronic 9W UV Clarifier Plumbing Fittings
The Atlantic Water Gardens connection kit for the Vitronic and Cleartronic 9W UV clarifiers provides the plumbing fittings required for installing or replumbing these compact inline UV units. Correct fittings ensure a pressure-sealed inline connection that keeps the UV chamber full of water at all times — a critical requirement for UV bulb longevity and safe operation in outdoor installations.
Keep the UV Chamber Sealed
UV bulbs in pressurised inline clarifiers must always be fully submerged in water when powered — dry running causes the quartz sleeve to overheat and crack, destroying the UV bulb and potentially the sleeve within minutes. The connection kit fittings provide union connections that maintain a continuous sealed circuit and allow the UV head to be removed for service without draining the plumbing circuit. Using correct-rated fittings is especially important in inline installations where the pressure from an upstream pump can push loose connections apart.

How to Use
Install the 9W UV clarifier in the pump return line using these fittings, following the Vitronic/Cleartronic installation guide for correct flow direction. Use PTFE tape on threaded connections and confirm all union fittings are hand-tight plus a quarter turn. Test under pump operating pressure before leaving the installation unattended — inspect all joints after the first 30 minutes of operation.
