The MD1500 delivers 1,560 GPH (5,905 LPH) at 165W with a 5-year warranty. Replacing a worn impeller assembly restores full flow and quiet operation for a fraction of the cost of a new pump.
High-Wattage Mag-Drive Service
At 165W, the MD1500 is the most powerful pump in the Atlantic TidalWave mag-drive lineup. The higher power draw creates more magnetic coupling force, which accelerates wear on the ceramic shaft over several seasons. If the MD1500 is running noticeably louder than when new — or if flow has dropped despite a clean screen — the ceramic shaft in the impeller assembly is the most likely cause. This genuine OEM replacement includes the complete matched set: impeller blade, ceramic shaft, and magnet core.

How to Replace
Disconnect and remove the MD1500 from the water feature. Open the front housing by rotating counter-clockwise. Inspect the bearing cup before installing the new assembly. If the cup shows scoring, performance after replacement may be limited. Seat the new impeller assembly fully, reassemble, and verify smooth rotation by hand before returning to service.
