The front arms are three-stage and the rear arms two-stage — the front pair need more telescopic reach because front lifting points sit further inboard on most vehicles, and building the reach only where it is needed keeps the rear arms shorter and stiffer.\u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eAutomatic arm restraints engage as the lift rises. Single-point lock release means both columns release together from one control rather than being walked around and released in turn.
