Description

A 93.5 in. post, so a full-capacity two-post lift fits a garage that cannot take one

Every argument about two-post lifts eventually comes back to the ceiling. The BendPak 10AP-SRT answers it by cutting the column rather than the capacity: post height is 93.5 in. (2,377 mm), low enough for rooms that would never accept a full-height lift, while the rating stays at 10,000 lbs. (4,536 kg). Nothing about the structure is scaled down — it carries the same AP-series forged arm restraints and the same triple-telescoping arm set as its tall siblings.

What you give up is standing room underneath, and that trade is the point. This is a tire, wheel, brake and detailing lift: it raises a vehicle to working height for anything done from a stool or bent at the waist, in a bay with a low roof, a mezzanine, or a door header in the wrong place.

It is also the quiet one

BendPak publishes sound output for this model at under 43 dB, an unusual figure for a hydraulic lift and not a vanity spec: short-rise lifts land in tyre bays next to waiting rooms, in mixed-use buildings, and in home garages with a bedroom on the other side of the wall. The power unit runs at 2,170 psi at maximum load on a 220 VAC, 60 Hz, 1 Ph motor, and reaches full rise in roughly 45 seconds.

Three readings of lifting height, and one of pad height

This model's height figures do not agree across our sources, and since height is the only reason to choose a short-rise lift over a tall one, they are shown as we hold them rather than resolved for you.

Measurement Where it comes from Value
Max. lifting height (line H) BendPak published specification 46 in. (1,173 mm)
Max. lifting height (line I) BendPak published specification 42.5 in. (1,081 mm)
Max. rise under the arms A separate field in our catalogue record 42 in.
Minimum height with pad (line G) BendPak published specification 4.5 in. (116 mm)
Minimum pad height A separate field in our catalogue record 4 in.

The pad-height pair is the one that decides purchases. Half an inch is the margin between a lowered car passing over the arms and grounding on them, and a customer's car is a poor place to find out. If either figure is decisive for your work, ask us to confirm it in writing before you order and we will get the answer from the manufacturer instead of quoting whichever of our own fields reads best. Screw pad adjustment adds a further 2.25 in. (55 mm) of fine height at the pad itself.

Will It Fit?

  • Overhead. Post height 93.5 in. (2,377 mm) — the figure that makes this model worth considering. Allow room above it to stand the columns during installation.
  • Width, narrow build. 136 in. (3,453 mm) overall, 128.75 in. (3,269 mm) outside the posts, 108.25 in. (2,749 mm) inside them, 91 in. (2,311 mm) drive-through.
  • Width, wide build. 146 in. (3,707 mm) overall, 138.75 in. (3,523 mm) outside the posts, 118.25 in. (3,003 mm) inside them, 101 in. (2,565 mm) drive-through.
  • Base plates. 25.25 in. (642 mm) wide, so allow for them when you chalk the bay out.
  • Floor plates. The plates covering the hoses, equalizing cables and safety cable between the posts stand 1.4 in. (36 mm) high and 9.5 in. (240 mm) wide. Anything on castors that crosses the bay has to roll over that.
  • Power. 220 VAC, 60 Hz, 1 Ph, run to the power-side post before delivery.

Ceiling, bay width and electrical supply are the buyer's responsibility to confirm. Our record carries no concrete thickness or strength requirement for this model, and a two-post lift puts every pound into its anchors, so please do not assume an existing slab is adequate. The installation manual linked on this page gives the requirement and we will confirm it in writing on request.

Full-size arm restraints on a short-rise lift

Short rise does not mean light duty, and the arm restraint system here is the same forged-steel design BendPak fits to its full-height AP lifts: a complete 360 degrees of load-holding grip with over 2000 pounds of holding force, engaging automatically as the lift rises. It matters most in exactly the work this lift is bought for — wheels off, weight moving around the vehicle, technicians leaning on things. A quick-release lever lets go of the clamping pressure when you want the arm to swing. Safety locks are spaced every 3 in. in the columns with eight lock positions in total, and a single-point release drops them together.

Arms that reach the same as the tall lifts

Front arms run 22.25 in. (562 mm) closed to 47.5 in. (1,205 mm) extended; rears 29.5 in. (747 mm) to 57 in. (1,446 mm). Those are full-size figures, which is what lets a short-rise lift take a long-wheelbase truck rather than only small cars. The Bi-Metric arms cover symmetric and asymmetric positioning without swapping anything. Per-axle capacity is published at 5,000 lbs. (2,268 kg) front and 5,000 lbs. (2,268 kg) rear — worth checking on a nose-heavy vehicle even when the total looks comfortable.

Low-Pro arms use a shorter channel and a dropped-end pad receiver for lowered chassis, with oversized 53 in. and 59 in. carriages running in the columns on a self-lubricating bearing system.

Perfect For

  • Tyre and wheel shops, which is the work this lift is shaped around.
  • Low-ceiling bays and basement garages where a full-height two-post lift is simply not an option.
  • Detailing and paint correction, where the car needs to come up to a comfortable working height and no further.
  • Noise-sensitive sites — attached home garages, mixed-use buildings, bays beside a customer waiting area.

What's in the Box

From this product's own component list: the power-side post carrying the power unit, the safety lock release handle and the lowering handle; the offside post; four extendable lift arms on their carriages; four cradle adapters, which the manufacturer describes as suited to body-on-frame trucks and SUVs; safety covers over the lock mechanisms; floor plates covering the hoses and cables; height adapter trays at the base of the posts for storing spare adapters; and the expandable top beam hardware. Height adapters, pinch weld pads and screw adapters beyond the four supplied cradle adapters are listed as available separately. Anchors are not assumed to be in the crate.

Certification, stated plainly

This lift's feature list states that it is ALI certified — an independent third-party assessment against the North American lift safety standard, rather than a manufacturer declaring conformity for itself. The two are often spoken of interchangeably and they are not the same document. If an insurer, a fleet policy or a local inspector asks you for that listing, they will normally want it evidenced against the model and serial number; ask us and we will obtain the paperwork from the manufacturer before you order.

Shipping and Delivery

Freight only, to the lower 48 states. Even a short-rise lift arrives as a heavy crate on a trailer, so plan the offload first: a forklift, a dock, or enough people and equipment to take it down safely. Otherwise choose terminal pickup and bring a vehicle that can carry it. Residential delivery carries a residential fee, quoted live at checkout with the freight.

Inspect the crate before you sign for it. Look for punctures, crushed corners and banding that has shifted, and write anything you find on the bill of lading in front of the driver. Signing a clean bill of lading states the shipment arrived undamaged, and undoing that later is difficult. Photographs taken at the tailgate cost nothing and settle claims.

Warranty and Service

BendPak's full warranty document is linked on this page and is what governs; our record does not restate a period for this model and we will not paraphrase one. Regardless of the terms: do not take a component apart before you file a claim, because a disassembled part is generally treated as a modified part and the claim stops there. Keep the installation and operation manual with the lift together with the anchor torque record and the in-service date — a warranty administrator asks for those first.

Product Features

  • Power Side Post – The power side post holds the power unit, the safety lock release handle, and the lowering handle (which is on the power unit).
  • Offside Post – The opposite Post.
  • Power Unit – Provides hydraulic fluid pressure to the lift and connects to an appropriate power source. Includes the Up button, the lowering handle, and the hydraulic fluid reservoir.
  • Safety Lock Release Handle – Located on the power post above the power unit, it disengages the safety locks so you can lower the lift.
  • Safety Covers – Cover the safety lock mechanism on the posts.
  • Floor Plates – Cover the hydraulic hoses, equalizing cables, and safety cable routed between each post.
  • Lift Heads – Sometimes called carriages. Lift heads move up and down in the posts. They connect to the lift arms, so when the lift heads rise, so do the lift arms.
  • Lift Arms – Extendable steel arms that attach to the lift heads.
  • Adapters – Pads that contact the lifting points on the underside of the vehicles you raise. Four cradle adapters are included with your lift and are well-suited for raising trucks and SUVs (body-on-frame style). Additional adapters are available separately and include height adapters, pinch weld pads and screw adapters.
  • Height Adapter Trays – Attach to the bottom of the posts, used for holding the spare adapters when not in use.
  • Safety Locks – Hold the lift heads up when engaged. Multiple safety lock heights let you select the best one for your needs. Once engaged on its safety locks, the lift heads stay up, even if the lift loses power. Only leave your lift fully lowered or engaged on safety locks.
