Description
The One With an Adjustable Support Base — 45.75" to 59"
The specification that sets the BendPak RBJ15000 apart from the rest of the rolling bridge jack range is easy to miss in a table: its support base width is adjustable from 45.75" to 59", where the higher-capacity jacks in the family are fixed. That adjustment is what lets the jack sit correctly across different runway spacings instead of being locked to one lift geometry, and it is the difference between a jack that fits your shop and a jack that fits a catalogue.
Beyond that it is a 15,000 lb capacity jack — enough to take half of a 30,000 lb truck or commercial bus — designed to give a heavy-duty four-post lift something it cannot do on its own: wheel-off service. A four-post lift gives you the undercarriage but leaves every wheel on the runway. A bridge jack is what opens the door to brake work, tire changing, wheel balancing and alignment on the same lift.
Will It Fit? — And What It Needs
The lift. BendPak's specification sheet lists the RBJ15000 for the HDS-27 Series. See the note below — the source documents do not fully agree on the compatible range, and this is the one thing to settle before ordering.
Support base width adjusts from 45.75" to 59". Measure your runway spacing and check it falls inside that window; this is where the model's flexibility actually pays.
Drive-over height — whether the jack rolls under a vehicle already on the runways — depends on which pads are fitted: 9" with the short arm pads, 10" with the short top pads, 11" with the tall arm pads and 12" with the tall top pads. Configure against the lowest vehicle you service.
Power: none. No electrical requirement. The pump is air/hydraulic, running off shop air at 125 PSI and drawing up to 25 CFM, controlled by an ergonomically shaped foot pedal. No circuit to run to the lift, no cord in the working area — but confirm your compressor can hold 125 PSI under sustained draw before the jack arrives.
Your responsibility. Confirming lift compatibility, runway spacing, your vehicles' real axle weights and your air supply is the buyer's job. Ask us and we will work through it with you before the order rather than after.
6,000 PSI and What "Half the Vehicle" Really Means
Maximum operating hydraulic pressure is 6,000 PSI. A bridge jack raises one end of a vehicle that is already supported by the four-post lift, so the arithmetic looks like it should be half the vehicle weight — a 15,000 lb jack for a 30,000 lb truck.
Treat that as a starting point, not a specification. A loaded commercial vehicle does not distribute its mass evenly, and an axle group can carry appreciably more than half the total. Weigh, or get the axle weights from the vehicle documentation, before you assume a 30,000 lb vehicle presents a 15,000 lb axle load. If your fleet routinely runs biased loads, the higher-capacity jacks in the range exist for exactly that reason and we will point you at them rather than sell you this one.
Steel Pads, Three Lock Levels, and Two Jacks on One Airline
Four steel contact pads support the axle and the vehicle's lift points. Steel is the right material at this load: a softer pad deforms under weight, and a pad that deforms is one that can slide out of position. The assembly stays low-profile, so the pads still slot under low-stance vehicles.
Three lock positions let you set the working height to the job. If you only need the wheels a few inches off the runway to pull them, you can stop there; if you want more room under the vehicle for comfort, you take the next lock. That choice — rather than only working at full extension — is what stops a long job becoming an uncomfortable one.
Each jack runs its own airline, and BendPak's optional airline kit lets two jacks share a single supply. If you intend to work a vehicle at both ends, that kit is the piece that keeps the bay tidy and both jacks fed from one properly plumbed source.
Perfect For
- Heavy-duty shops with a HDS-series four-post lift that want wheel-service capability without a second lift.
- Tire, brake and alignment work on commercial vehicles — the jobs a four-post lift alone simply cannot reach.
- Shops with non-standard runway spacing, where the adjustable support base is the reason this model works and a fixed-base jack does not.
- Bays with no free electrical capacity. Shop air is the only service it needs.
What's in the Box
The jack ships with the rolling bridge assembly, four steel lifting pads as standard, the air/hydraulic power unit and the ergonomic foot pedal control. The air-line kit that joins two jacks to a single supply is an optional accessory and is not included — if you are buying a pair, order it at the same time.

Confirm lift compatibility with us before you order
The sources for this product disagree about which four-post lifts the RBJ15000 fits. BendPak's specification sheet lists the HDS-27 Series and also names the HDS-40 Series; the long-standing product copy refers to the HDS-27 in one paragraph and to an HDS-35 in the next. All three sources agree on the HDS-27; beyond that they do not.
We are showing you the disagreement rather than picking the most likely answer, because a bridge jack that does not match your runway spacing cannot be adapted — it goes back on a freight truck. Send us your exact lift model and we will confirm it against BendPak's current documentation before the order is processed.
Certification, Stated Plainly
The product data we hold for this jack carries no certification claim of any kind, and we are not going to invent one. We cannot confirm from this listing's data whether the RBJ15000 holds a third-party lift safety listing.
A third-party lift safety listing is issued by an independent testing body, and it is not the same document as a manufacturer's own declaration of conformity. Insurers, fleet safety policies and some local jurisdictions require it specifically for equipment in commercial service. If yours does, get the requirement in writing and contact us — we will confirm the current position with BendPak before you commit.
Shipping and Delivery
Ships by freight to the lower 48 states, free of charge. You must be able to unload the shipment or take pickup at the carrier's terminal — it arrives crated and heavy, so plan for a forklift, a loading dock, or an equipment trailer and enough hands. Residential delivery is available and carries a residential fee.
Inspect before you sign. Check the crate and its contents while the driver is present and note any damage on the bill of lading before signing. A clean signed BOL makes a freight damage claim very hard to pursue.
Warranty
Covered by BendPak's published warranty, linked on this page. That document governs coverage, term and the claim process, and nothing here restates a term it does not state.
Do not disassemble, modify or attempt a repair before filing a warranty claim. It is the most common reason a valid claim is denied. Stop using the equipment, photograph the fault in place, and contact us first.
