Description
BendPak RJ6W Rolling Bridge Jack
Among BendPak's rolling bridge jacks, the RJ6W is the one that gets out of the way. Its pads sit just 1.25" (32 mm) above the runway when fully lowered — the lowest drive-over height in the W-series — which is what lets a low-stance car roll over the jack without a conversation about ramps and ground clearance. BendPak matches it to the XR-12000 Series, and it works with a full-size scissor lift or a four-post lift to raise the wheels clear of the runways.
The safety margin is deliberate, and it has a limit
An individual bridge jack is over-engineered relative to the load it normally sees. Used in the usual pair, the combined rating can be well over twice the weight of the car sitting on it. That is on purpose: the margin is there so that ordinary variation — a slightly off-centre pick-up, a vehicle heavier at one end than the spec sheet suggested, a technician working while the vehicle is up — never approaches the edge of what the equipment can do.
The limit is equally deliberate, and it is the one figure people talk themselves past. Margin belongs to the pair, not to a single unit. A jack must never be loaded past its own rated capacity, no matter how comfortable the two-jack total looks. If a single jack is taking an end that exceeds its rating, the correct answer is a bigger jack, not an optimistic reading of the arithmetic.
Will it fit your lift and your shop?
Runway rating. The easy-roll wheels are sized for the runway channels of standard four-post lift models rated 12,000 lbs of lifting capacity or greater; BendPak names the XR-12000 Series as the suitable lift. Check your own lift's rating and channel before ordering.
Span and reach. The support base adjusts from 36.25" (921 mm) to 47.25" (1,200 mm), and the arms reach from 42" (1,067 mm) out to 56" (1,422 mm). This is a wide adjustment range for a jack of this capacity, which is what makes it usable across a varied mix of vehicles rather than one bay's worth of them.
Height, which is this jack's headline. Pad only: 1.25" (32 mm) drive-over, rising to 12" (305 mm). With the 2.75" adapter: 4" (102 mm) drive-over, rising to 14.75" (375 mm). With the 5.5" adapter: 6.75" (171 mm) drive-over, rising to 17.5" (445 mm). Note what the adapters actually cost you — every inch you add underneath is an inch of the vehicle's clearance you spend before the wheels leave the runway, so use the smallest stack that reaches the lift point.
Air, not power. There is no electrical requirement: a commercial-grade air-hydraulic pump is welded to the side of the unit and runs independently of your lift. The published air figures disagree, and we would rather show you both than pick one. The product information supplied with the jack asks for 125 psi and 10 - 20 CFM; the specification sheet for the same model states the air requirement as 125 PSI (10-25 CFM). The pressure agrees, the flow does not. Size against the higher flow figure if your compressor is marginal, or ask us to confirm it with the manufacturer first.
Confirming the lift rating, the runway channel and your compressor's real delivered flow is the buyer's responsibility. We will check a combination with you before you order if you tell us the lift model.
Rollers, and why hardened plating matters here
The rollers are hardened stainless steel and zinc plated. On a jack this low, that specification does more work than usual: the roller assembly is close to the channel floor, which is where debris collects, and a roller that binds is one a technician will shove rather than guide. Hardened and plated, they glide along the runway under load and stay that way for years, so positioning stays a one-handed job.
Pads that meet the frame where the manufacturer says to
Durable rubber contact pads are standard, and they adjust to engage the frame directly at the vehicle manufacturer's recommended lift point — which is the only point you should be lifting from, whatever looks convenient. For wide-bodied frames such as trucks and larger SUVs, frame cradle pads are sold separately and are close to a necessity rather than an accessory: they spread the load across the rail instead of concentrating it.
Stackable adapters and three lock heights
Some undercarriages simply sit further away than others, so the adapters stack to extend the jack's effective reach upward. Three lock heights then let you park the vehicle where the work is comfortable. The locks engage automatically as the scissor arms rise and release together as they lower, so the load rests on steel rather than on hydraulic pressure, and a foot pedal on the unit runs the pump so the operator's hands stay on the job.
Perfect for
- Shops with an XR-12000 Series or comparable 12,000 lb-rated platform that need wheel-free service from it.
- Bays that see low-stance and modified cars, where a 1.25" drive-over height is the difference between usable and not.
- General service shops doing brake, hub and suspension work on a mixed vehicle list.
- Home garages with a full-size scissor or four-post lift and a project car that lives on it.
What is in the box
- The RJ6W rolling bridge jack with easy-roll wheels
- A commercial-grade air-hydraulic pump welded to the unit, with foot-pedal control
- Rubber contact pads
- Stackable pad adapters
An air-line kit is optional. Frame cradle pads for wide-bodied vehicles are sold separately.

Certification and compliance, stated honestly
The product data we hold for this jack claims no third-party safety listing, and neither do we. Some insurers, fleet operators and local jurisdictions require equipment carrying a North American third-party safety listing — an independent test-house listing, which is a different document from a manufacturer's own declaration of conformity. If your insurer, your fleet policy or your local code sets that requirement, confirm what your paperwork asks for before you buy, and talk to us if you want help matching it to a product.
Shipping and delivery
A rolling bridge jack ships as freight to the lower 48 states, crated on a pallet. Unloading is the receiving end's job — a forklift, a dock and pallet jack, or a terminal collection you arrange instead. Delivery to a residential address is a different service from a commercial dock and carries a residential fee, quoted live at checkout rather than guessed at here.
Walk the pallet before you sign. Check the crate, the pump housing and the roller assemblies, and write any damage on the bill of lading in the driver's presence — a clean signed bill is the carrier's evidence that it arrived intact.
Warranty
The jack is covered by BendPak's published warranty document, which is what governs a claim; ask us for the current version before you order if the term matters to your decision. One condition is worth stating plainly: do not disassemble the pump, the cylinder or the lock mechanism before a claim is raised. An opened unit is usually outside the warranty by the time anyone looks at it, and the fault is exactly what the manufacturer needs to see intact.
