Description

BendPak RJ7W Rolling Bridge Jack

A four-post lift is superb at getting a vehicle in the air and hopeless at getting its wheels off the ground — the tyres are what the vehicle is standing on. The RJ7W is the accessory that removes that limitation, and it is matched specifically to BendPak's 14,000 lb four-post platforms: the HDS-14 Series, the HDSO14P and the HD-14 Series. Buy it for the lift you own, not for a category.

Jacks come in pairs, and that changes the maths

The single most useful thing to understand before ordering is that a rolling bridge jack is half of a tool. One jack lifts one end of the vehicle frame; a pair is what gives you a vehicle with all four wheels free. That has two consequences worth budgeting for. The obvious one is that most shops order two. The less obvious one is that the capacity figure is per jack and per end — it is not half the vehicle weight you should be checking against, it is the weight actually carried at the heavier end, which on a loaded pickup or a van is not the same number.

Get that right and the four-post lift stops being a parking-and-oil-change machine. Tyre rotations, brake work, hub and bearing service and suspension inspection all become available on a lift whose extended approach ramps already made it the easy one to drive onto.

Will it fit your lift and your shop?

The runway is the first check. The easy-roll wheels are sized to sit on the runway channels of standard four-post lift models rated 14,000 lbs of lifting capacity or greater. That rating is not a marketing tier; it is a statement about the channel and the structure the jack loads. Confirm your lift's rating and channel dimensions before ordering.

Then the span and the reach. The support base adjusts from 36.25" (921 mm) to 46.5" (1,181 mm) to bridge the runways, and the arms reach from 42" (1,067 mm) to 56" (1,422 mm). If you routinely service wide-frame trucks, this is the number to check against your own vehicles rather than against a category description.

Then the air. There is no power requirement to plan for — the jack's own air-hydraulic pump is fitted to its side and runs completely independently of the car lift's electric-hydraulic system, so the two never share pressure. It does need a compressed-air drop, and the published figures do not agree with one another. The product information supplied with the jack asks for 125 PSI and 10 - 20 CFM; the specification sheet for the same model lists the air requirement as 125 PSI (10-25 CFM). We are quoting both rather than choosing between them. If your compressor is near the boundary, size against the higher flow figure or ask us to confirm with the manufacturer before you order.

Then the clearance, top and bottom. Pad only, the jack drives over at 4" (102 mm) and lifts to 14.75" (375 mm). With the 2.75" adapter it is 6.75" (171 mm) up to 17.5" (445 mm); with the 5.5" adapter, 9.5" (241 mm) up to 20.25" (514 mm). Sports cars on a 14,000 lb lift are more common than people expect, which is why the pad-only drive-over height is the figure to check first.

Measuring the runway, confirming the lift rating and checking the compressor are the buyer's job before purchase. Send us the lift model and we will happily check the pairing with you.

The pads are the part that touches the customer's vehicle

Rubber contact pads are supplied with every jack, and they engage the lift points on a large chassis without marking it. For wide-bodied frames — full-size trucks and larger SUVs — BendPak offers optional frame cradle pads, and this is a genuine recommendation rather than an upsell: a cradle spreads the load across a frame rail properly instead of point-loading it, and it is the accessory most often missing when a shop finds a vehicle awkward to pick up.

Stackable adapters exist because ride heights vary

Different suspensions sit at different heights, so a fixed pad height would be a compromise for everything and correct for nothing. The stackable adapters let you reach a high lift point without spending the jack's available rise getting there — you gain the height at the bottom of the stroke rather than losing it at the top. Once you know the jack is rated for what you are lifting, the adapters take care of nearly everything else.

Three lock positions, engaged automatically

The locks engage as the jack rises and release together as it descends, so there is no separate action to remember and nothing to forget under time pressure. Three positions means you can set the vehicle at the height that suits the job rather than the height the tool prefers, and mechanical locks — not hydraulic pressure — carry the load while you work under it. A foot pedal on the unit itself operates the pump, keeping the operator's hands free.

Perfect for

  • Shops running an HDS-14, HDSO14P or HD-14 four-post lift that want full wheel-service capability without adding a second lift.
  • Tyre and brake specialists where the wheels come off many times a day.
  • Mixed-fleet workshops handling medium-duty vehicles alongside low-stance cars.
  • Home garages with a large four-post lift where the jack is what makes real work possible rather than storage.

What is in the box

  • The RJ7W rolling bridge jack with easy-roll wheels
  • A single air-hydraulic pump, fitted to the jack, with foot-pedal control
  • Rubber contact pads
  • Stackable pad adapters

An air-line kit is an option, not an inclusion. Frame cradle pads for larger trucks and SUVs are also sold separately.

Certification and compliance, stated honestly

No third-party safety listing is claimed for this jack anywhere in the product data we hold, so we make no such claim for it. Some insurers, fleet operators and local jurisdictions require equipment carrying a North American third-party safety listing — an independent test-house listing, which is a different document from a manufacturer's own declaration of conformity. If your insurer, your fleet policy or your local code sets that requirement, confirm what your paperwork asks for before you buy, and talk to us if you want help matching it to a product.

Shipping and delivery

A rolling bridge jack ships as freight to the lower 48 states, crated on a pallet. Unloading is the receiving end's job — a forklift, a dock and pallet jack, or a terminal collection you arrange instead. Delivery to a residential address is a different service from a commercial dock and carries a residential fee, quoted live at checkout rather than guessed at here.

Walk the pallet before you sign. Check the crate, the pump housing and the roller assemblies, and write any damage on the bill of lading in the driver's presence — a clean signed bill is the carrier's evidence that it arrived intact.

Warranty

The jack is covered by BendPak's published warranty document, which is what governs a claim; ask us for the current version before you order if the term matters to your decision. One condition is worth stating plainly: do not disassemble the pump, the cylinder or the lock mechanism before a claim is raised. An opened unit is usually outside the warranty by the time anyone looks at it, and the fault is exactly what the manufacturer needs to see intact.
