Bacterial Pond Clarifier That Works Below 10°C (50°F)
Most beneficial bacteria shut down when water temperatures drop below 10°C (50°F), leaving fall and winter ponds cloudy and organic debris to accumulate unchecked. ClearLake Cold Water Clarifier is formulated with bacterial strains selected to stay active in cold water, clearing suspended particles and breaking down leaves, fish waste, and sediment through the off-season. The 8 lb pail provides a full season of treatment for medium ponds and smaller lakes.
Fall and Winter Pond Maintenance
Applying ClearLake Cold Water Clarifier in fall reduces the organic load that accumulates over winter and makes spring startup significantly easier. The bacteria target bottom sediment and suspended particulates, improving water clarity and reducing the anaerobic decomposition that creates odours under ice. Start applications when water drops below 10°C (50°F) and continue biweekly through the cold season.

How to Use
Begin treatment in late fall as water temperatures fall below 10°C (50°F). Broadcast granules across the pond surface, with heavier application near muck accumulation areas. Continue every two weeks until ice forms, then resume when ice breaks in spring. Results are gradual. Expect improved clarity within two to three weeks of initial treatment.
Ideal for residential koi and ornamental ponds from 10,000 to 160,000 gal (40,000 to 600,000 L) requiring year-round biological maintenance.
