Corghi A5000 Artigilo 5000 Touchless Elec. Tire Changer W/ Arm
Corghi A5000 Artiglio 5000 Touchless Tire Changer
On most leverless machines the operator still sets the head. Position it, check the gap, commit - and the quality of the result depends on how carefully that was done at four in the afternoon on a busy Friday. The A5000 takes that step away. Its demounting head positions itself automatically, on a patented arrangement Corghi describes as a new concept, and it mounts and demounts the tire without ever coming into contact with the rim.
That is the argument for this machine in one sentence: the moment where alloy wheels usually get damaged is a moment of operator judgement, and here the machine makes it. Corghi calls the tooling third-generation leverless with the LITE Smart Corghi System, and the practical claim attached to it is that the head reduces the stress placed on the tire through the demanding part of the cycle rather than simply pulling harder.
Will It Fit?
This is an electric machine on 110V single-phase power with a 1 hp drive, so it does not need a three-phase service - worth confirming against your panel before you look further, because it removes the most common installation obstacle. It weighs 937 lbs, and our data is specific that the figure is quoted with the bead depressor and wheel lifter fitted, which is the honest way to publish a weight and unusually rare.
Confirm the footprint with us before you plan the bay. The specification table on this page gives the machine as 62.2 mm long by 67 mm deep, alongside a weight of 937 lbs - figures that cannot be read together, and not ones to measure a bay against. Ask us before you order and we will have the footprint confirmed from Corghi's own drawing. Confirming your own door width, floor and electrical supply remains the customer's responsibility either way.
A head that never touches the rim
The touchless claim is narrower than the leverless one, and it is the one that matters commercially. Leverless describes how the tire comes off. Touchless describes what happens to the rim while it does. On painted, polished and machined-face wheels the damage that generates comebacks is contact damage, and it is almost always found by the customer rather than the technician - a week later, in daylight, on their own driveway.
Removing tool-to-rim contact removes the mechanism rather than managing it. It also changes who can run the machine: a shop that has been routing its expensive wheels to one trusted technician can stop doing that, which in practice is worth more than any cycle-time figure on a spec sheet.
Bead breaking and clamping
The A5000 uses a dynamic bead-breaking device with two opposed discs working on either side of the wheel, rather than a single shovel pushing from one side. Two discs working against each other keep the load balanced across the assembly, which is what allows the machine to work through a stiff sidewall without levering the wheel against its own clamping. The wheel locking is described as quick, and the console gathers the operating controls in one place so the cycle is run from a single working position.
The range is aimed at cars, SUVs and light commercial work: rims from 13 to 28 inches, tires up to 47 inches (1,200 mm) in diameter and 15 inches (381 mm) wide, covering conventional, low-profile and run-flat construction. Check the upper rim figure against what actually rolls into your bay - 28 inches covers most current light-truck and performance fitments, but it is the specification that decides whether an oversize wheel is your job or someone else's.
Perfect For
- Tire shops working expensive wheels where a single rim repair erases the margin on several jobs.
- Independent workshops without three-phase power - 110V single phase is the reason this machine can go where others cannot.
- Performance and modification shops handling large-diameter, low-profile and run-flat fitments as routine rather than exception.
- Shops with mixed-experience crews, since the self-positioning head narrows the gap between the most experienced technician on the floor and the newest.
What's in the Box
Our record shows the machine supplied with the automatic positioning demounting head, the dynamic bead-breaking device with its two opposed discs, the quick wheel-locking system and the control console. The published weight is quoted with the bead depressor and the wheel lifter fitted, which indicates both are part of this configuration. It is described as available in electric only - there is no pneumatic-drive version of this model. Anything beyond that list should be confirmed with us in writing before you order.

Certification, stated honestly
Our product record for the A5000 lists no third-party safety certification. We are describing a gap in our own data, not asserting that no approval exists - the manufacturer may hold documents that were never passed to us. What we will not do is suggest a listing we cannot show you on request. If an insurer, a franchise agreement or a local inspector requires a particular certification, name it before you order and we will get Corghi's answer in writing, well before the machine is bolted down.
Shipping and delivery
The A5000 travels as freight to the lower 48 states, quoted live at checkout so the number is current rather than an estimate from a rate sheet. You need to be able to unload it - a dock, a forklift, or a terminal pickup arranged with the carrier. Residential delivery carries an additional fee, which checkout shows before payment. Inspect the crate before you sign the driver's paperwork and write any damage onto the bill of lading at the time. A clean signature is treated as confirmation the machine arrived intact, and reopening that afterwards is very difficult.
Warranty
Our data does not state a warranty term for this machine, and we will not invent one. The warranty claims page explains how a claim is raised with us, and we will confirm the manufacturer's current terms in writing if you ask before ordering. Regardless of the term: do not take the machine apart before the claim is filed. Investigating a fault yourself is the most reliable way to turn a covered failure into an argument. Photograph what happened, contact us, and let the claim be opened before anything is unbolted.
