FLUKE-EX is a new unique product developed by Fish Treatment Ltd for use in ornamental ponds or tanks, with a number of benefits compared with existing products. It has been priced to give significant savings.

Efficacy has been demonstrated by extensive clinical trials to confirm it treats skin and gill flukes including all the resistant strains of flukes, where other treatments have failed, but it can also be used to treat Trichodina, Costia, tapeworms, roundworms and crustaceans such as Argulus (fish lice). It can be used in the presence of salt.

It uses the same proprietary technology as the Fluke-Solve range so the method of administration is the same – simply rip, tip and stir. However in the case of gill flukeswhich lay eggs, as with previous products a second treatment is recommended after 3 weeks to break the flukes’ life cycle.

It can also be used in a range of fish species including Goldfish.
It is effective from temperatures from 3˚C.  Simple to use, safe and effective. 

FLUKE-EX® 10g will treat 2500 litres (550 gallons) of pond water.
FLUKE-EX® 50g will treat 12500 litres (2750 gallons) of pond water.
FLUKE-EX® 100g will treat 25000 litres (5500 gallons) of pond water.

Methyl (6-(phenylthiol)-1H-benzo(d)imidazole-2-yl)carbamate
25% for administration by bath/immersion route.

Use for the treatment of skin and gill flukes and also Trichodina, Costia, roundworms, tapeworms and Argulus (fish lice). Fluke-EX® can be used in a pond without affecting either the bacterial filters or the plants.

Dosage: Use at a rate of 4g powder per 1000 litres of water. First add the required quantity of Fluke-EX® powder to 10 litres of pond water in a clean container and stir. Immediately add this stock solution to the pond water with the fish. Rinse out the container with pond water and add to the pond. If necessary a separate tank can be used to immerse the fish for the treatment period of at least 24 hours.

In the case of egg-laying flukes, a second single treatment 3 weeks later after the initial one is recommended to ensure that all the hatching larvae are killed. This pack is designed for a single course of treatment of no more than 3 administrations.

Warnings, storage: Can be used in the presence of salt but do not use at the same time as any other treatment. For use in fish in closed water systems. Store in a cool dry place. If it is impossible to use all of the contents once the packet has been opened keep in the original sachet and reseal after use - the contents will keep until the Expiry Date on the packet. Dispose of any unused product according to Local Authority requirements.
