FR-77T-20: tubular deck, two telescoping towers, 20' of bench

A tubular deck is an open lattice rather than a solid plate, and on a frame rack that is a working decision rather than a cost one. The open structure lets a technician see and reach through the deck to the underside of a vehicle that is clamped and under tension, and it gives the clamps and chains somewhere to pass through instead of around. Combined with the hydraulic tilt deck and drive-on ramps, it is a rack you can load, anchor and get underneath quickly.

The FR-77T-20 is the 20' bench in that family, rated 7,700 lbs, with two 10 Ton towers and an overhead boom extension.

Confirm the crated weight before you book the freight

Published shipping weights for this rack differ: the specification table on this page lists 4,189 lbs for the FR-77T-20, while figures published elsewhere for a tubular deck of this length are materially higher.

It matters in two places, and neither of them is the repair work. First, unloading: the machine you plan lifting equipment around should be the heavier possibility, not the lighter one. Second, freight: an under-declared shipment can be re-rated by the carrier after the fact. Telescoping heads and adjustable collars

Both towers carry telescoping heads. The practical effect is that the pull is made at the height of the damage instead of at whatever height the tower's fixed head sits, and the chain runs straight to the work rather than at an angle that turns some of your 10 Ton into a vertical component nobody asked for. Adjustable collars then lock that height so it survives the pull.

The overhead boom extension carries the chain above the vehicle, which is the geometry you need for roof rails and upper body pulls. Two air/hydraulic pumps, one per tower, each with its own pressure gauge, mean one correction can be held under load while the next is rigged — and a gauge you can read is what tells you to stop before the metal tears rather than after.

Anchoring and the hydraulic circuit

A universal anchoring system with adjustable-height pinch weld assemblies takes the vehicle at its rocker at the height it actually sits, rather than forcing a shim. The circuit runs to 10,000 PSI through quick-disconnect fittings, so hoses move between tower and deck without bleeding the system down.

• Length. The bench is 20'. You need that plus ramp approach at one end and room to walk the perimeter — a bench crammed against a wall loses half the reason for two towers.
• Width. 82.68" of bench, plus swing room for the towers either side.
• Drive-on height. The bench sits at 19.70". Anything with a low front lip needs checking against that figure.
• Air. Pneumatic pressure range is listed at 115 PSI; size your compressor to hold it under sustained demand, not just to reach it.
• Floor. No concrete depth or strength figure appears in iDEAL's data for this rack, so we are not printing one. The requirement is in the manual supplied with the machine and meeting it is the buyer's responsibility.

Shipping and Delivery

This ships as truck freight to the lower 48, and it needs a forklift at the delivery point. That is not a suggestion: a 20' crated frame rack cannot come off a trailer by hand, with a pallet jack, or by the driver, and a delivery appointment with no unloading equipment behind it simply fails. Arrange a forklift, a telehandler or a dock — or take terminal pickup and collect it yourself.

Because the ship weight above is disputed, plan the unloading with margin rather than to the listed figure.

Inspect the machine before you sign for it. Photograph any damage, count the towers, pumps, chains and dolly against the packing list, and write what is wrong on the bill of lading with the driver standing there. Signing clean hands the carrier its defence.
