Product Description
iDEAL U-2200IEH-XR: the ramp is as wide as the bench, and it folds away
Loading is where most bench lifts are annoying. A narrow ramp means lining up two wheels on a strip barely wider than the tyres, and a fixed ramp means a permanent run-out you cannot park anything else in. The U-2200IEH-XR uses a full-width retractable ramp system instead: the ramp spans the whole 65" width of the deck, so a side-by-side goes straight up without being threaded on, and it retracts when you are finished so the bench occupies its own footprint and nothing more.
Everything else follows from that. It is a 2,200 lbs electric/hydraulic bench with a 65" x 88.6" platform, it drops to a 7" minimum height so the ramp angle stays shallow, and it rises to 47" so you are working standing up rather than kneeling.
Will It Fit?
- Floor area. The platform is 65" wide and 88.6" long; overall length with the ramp extended is 116-1/2". When the ramp retracts you get that length back, but plan the bay around the loading position, not the parked one.
- Height. Maximum lifting height is 47" (47-1/4" at the top of its travel). Add the height of the machine on it and check the result against your ceiling, any light fittings and the door track.
- Minimum height. 7" down, which is what keeps the loading angle sensible for anything with limited ground clearance.
- Power. 110V, 60Hz, single phase. It runs from an ordinary shop socket — no three-phase supply, no dedicated high-voltage circuit, no electrician booked before you can use it. For a bench this size that is the practical difference between buying it and planning for it.
- Floor. A flat, level, sound surface. Nothing is anchored, but a bench carrying a loaded machine at working height wants to be sitting square.
Measuring the bay and the ceiling before ordering is the buyer's responsibility.
A deck that changes shape around the machine
Beyond the ramp, the platform is built to be reconfigured. Side extensions with centre drop panels widen the working surface for a machine wider than the deck, and the centre panels drop away to open access to the middle of the underside — the part you cannot otherwise reach on a bench lift without moving the whole vehicle. A rear drop-down service panel does the same job at the tail end, which is where the differential, the hitch and the exhaust usually live.
Holding the machine still is handled with wheel stops and tie-down anchor eye bolts set into the platform, and a stabilizer bar keeps the bench itself steady under a load that shifts as you work. The deck is also drilled to take an optional M-Vise or M-Chock, so the platform can carry a vise or a wheel chock permanently rather than having tools live on a separate bench.
Controls and lock release
Raising and lowering is done from a hand-held remote control pendant, so you can stand where you can see the machine and the pads instead of at a fixed control box. A full cycle up or down takes around 30 seconds. The safety locks use a magnetic lock release — the release is powered rather than a mechanical linkage you fight with, which on a loaded bench is the difference between a controlled descent and a two-handed struggle.
Two things to confirm with us before you buy
We would rather flag these than have you discover them.
The number of locking positions. The feature list on this page states one number of locking positions, and the manufacturer publishes a higher one, together with a full list of the heights it locks at. A lock count is a safety-relevant specification and we are not prepared to assert either version, so we are not repeating a figure in this description. Ask us to confirm the lock count and the lock heights in writing before you order — particularly if you plan to work under the raised bench, because that is exactly the decision the number governs.
The shipping weight. The specification sheet for this bench gives 970 lbs, and the manufacturer publishes the same figure. One of our internal freight records carries a heavier weight for the same product, which means a quoted freight cost may be based on the higher number. It does not affect anything about the bench itself. Ask us to confirm the crated weight in writing before you plan the unload, and mention it if a freight quote looks high.
Perfect For
- Powersport dealers and service shops doing volume work on side-by-sides and UTVs.
- Home and club workshops with a single ordinary socket and no interest in an electrical install.
- Fleet and agricultural operations maintaining utility vehicles rather than road cars.
- Anyone tired of working on the floor — the argument for a bench is your back, not your capacity.
What's in the Box
Per the manufacturer's feature list: the bench with its 65" x 88.6" platform, the full-width retractable ramp system, side extensions with centre drop panels, the rear drop-down service panel, the integrated 110V electric/hydraulic power unit, the hand-held remote control pendant, the magnetic lock release, the stabilizer bar, wheel stops and tie-down anchor eye bolts. The M-Vise and M-Chock are optional and are not included — the platform is simply designed to mount them.

Certification, stated plainly
Our data for the U-2200IEH-XR does not record a third-party safety listing, and we are not going to write around that. It is a distinction worth understanding: a manufacturer declaring its own product compliant is not the same thing as an independent North American lift safety listing issued by an outside body, and some insurers, fleet policies and local inspectors accept only the second. If your workplace is inspected or your insurance names a standard, establish what is required and ask us what this model carries before you buy.
Shipping and delivery
The bench ships as freight within the lower 48, priced live at checkout so the figure is current. Work out the unload in advance: it arrives crated on a pallet and it is heavier than two people can manage, so you want a forklift, a pallet truck and a dock, or a terminal collection with a suitable trailer. If the delivery address is a home, tell us — residential delivery carries a residential fee and it is better in the quote than in a phone call afterwards. Inspect before you sign: look over the crate for impact and puncture damage, check the count, and write anything you find on the bill of lading. A clean signature is very hard to walk back.
Warranty
The manufacturer's warranty applies to this bench and the terms in force are on our warranty claims page. We do not print a term length in the description on purpose — the page you read on the day you buy is the version that counts, not a number copied between listings. If something goes wrong, photograph it, photograph the serial plate, and talk to us before anything is taken apart: a component stripped down before a claim is agreed is a claim that turns into an argument.
