The J Lock and Latch Fitted provides a robust locking solution for timber courtyard gates and heavy-framed garden gates. Designed for both single and double-leaf timber gates, it combines a stainless steel insert lock with a practical self-latching mechanism for dependable everyday gate operation.

The insert lock is manufactured from 100% stainless steel and features a 60mm backset. An adjustable self-latching bolt works together with the stainless steel hook dead bolt, providing an additional locking function when the gate needs to be secured.

Reversible and Key-Operated Design

For installation flexibility, the self-latching bolt is reversible for left- or right-hand operation. The lock is key-operated and incorporates a stainless steel mechanism, hook, front plate and latch bolt, providing durable components for use with compatible timber gates.

The stainless steel hook for night locking has a 33mm throw, while the centre distance between the cylinder and handle is 92mm. The 60mm backset is measured from the edge of the gate to the centre line of the handle.
