Description
Katool KT-X95: no compressor, no lift
The last line of this lift's own feature list is the one that should be first, because it is the only thing on the page that can stop you using it on the day it arrives: the KT-X95 must be connected to a compressed air source. Its safety locks are released pneumatically. No shop air, no descent. If your garage does not have a compressor and a line to where the lift will sit, that is a purchase and a piece of pipework to plan alongside the lift, not a detail to discover after 8,000 lbs of scissor mechanism is bolted to your floor.
With that dealt with: the KT-X95 is a full-rise flush-mount scissor lift rated at 8,000 lbs, raising to 72.3 inches. It is aimed at repair shops, fleet operations and home garages that want full standing height under a vehicle without giving up the floor when the lift is down.
Why the pneumatic release is a feature and not just a requirement
Once you have accepted that it needs air, the design reasoning is sound. A mechanical lock released by hand needs a person at the lock, which on a scissor lift means bending down beside a raised vehicle. A pneumatic release is operated from the control station, so the locks disengage and the platform descends without anyone reaching under the load. Air also fails safe in the useful direction: lose pressure and the locks stay engaged, holding the vehicle up rather than letting it down.
Alongside it, the control circuit runs at 24V rather than mains voltage. That is a deliberate choice in an environment with water, oil and steel underfoot: the buttons a technician touches all day are carrying a voltage that cannot hurt them. A height limit switch stops the platform at the top of its travel rather than relying on the operator releasing a button at the right moment.
Flush mount, and what it actually buys you
The KT-X95 is designed to sit level with the floor when it is down. That sounds cosmetic and is not. A lift that is permanently proud of the floor is a permanent obstacle: you steer around it, you cannot roll a toolbox across it, you trip on the edge of it, and the bay it occupies is that lift's bay whether or not the lift is being used. A flush-mounted lift gives the floor back. The bay is a bay again, with a lift in it.
Built to be left alone
Two details in Katool's own feature list point at maintenance rather than performance. Self-lubricating bushings and bearings mean the pivot points are not on a grease schedule, which matters on a scissor mechanism because it has a lot of pivots and they are all in the least accessible place on the machine. And the motor is aluminium with the cooling fan mounted on top, specified against overheating during long working periods, which is the failure a busy shop actually sees rather than a dramatic one.
Will It Fit?
Every item here is the buyer's responsibility to confirm. We cannot see your garage, your slab or your air line from here.
- Compressed air. Required, as above. Confirm you can get a line to the lift's position.
- Ceiling. Maximum rise is 72.3 inches. The figure that decides your roof is your tallest vehicle's height plus that rise, not the height of the lift itself. Measure the vehicle you actually own.
- Floor. Flush mounting means a recess, so this is a decision about your slab and not just about space on it. Katool does not publish a concrete thickness or strength requirement on this listing, and we are not going to supply one from another product's data sheet. Get the requirement from the installation manual and give it to whoever is preparing the floor before any concrete is cut.
- Platform dimensions. Katool lists the platform as 58.9 inches long and 24.4 inches wide. Confirm those against the wheelbase and track of the vehicles you intend to lift, and against the manual, before ordering. The ramps lock as an extension for longer vehicles.
- Power and control. The control system is 24V. Confirm the supply requirement for the power unit with us before an electrician quotes.
Perfect For
- Small and mid-size repair shops where a bay cannot be permanently surrendered to a lift.
- Tire, brake and exhaust work, where full standing height under the vehicle is the entire point of owning a lift.
- Fleet service operations running the same vehicles repeatedly, where lift cycle time compounds across a working day.
- Home garages with a finished floor that want a serious lift without turning the garage into a workshop permanently.
What is in the Box
The scissor lift with its hydraulic power system and aluminium fan-cooled motor, the pneumatic safety release, the 24V control system with its height limit switch, the locking drive-up ramps that double as a platform extension, and a set of composite rubber lifting blocks. Self-lubricating bushings and bearings are fitted rather than supplied loose.
A compressor and air line are not included and are required. Anchors, any concrete cutting or recess preparation, and the electrical work to bring a supply to the lift are not part of the crate.

Katool's own product summary gives the lift cycle as roughly fifty seconds. The motor rating, rated oil pressure and required air pressure are printed in the specification block below in the manufacturer's own units; we have not restated or converted them, because a converted number is a number somebody can get wrong.
Certification, stated plainly
Katool states that the KT-X95 is CE approved and certified, having adopted a 115% dynamic loading standard and been tested at 150% static loading. Read that for exactly what it is, and no more. CE is a European conformity marking resting on the manufacturer's own declaration of conformity. It is not the same document as a North American third-party lift safety listing issued by an independent testing body, and it is not a substitute for one. The 115% and 150% overload figures are a real and useful disclosure - many manufacturers publish nothing equivalent - but they are the manufacturer's own test results, not an independent body's.
For a home garage and for many independent shops that distinction never arises. It does arise for some commercial insurance policies, for some fleet and municipal operations, and for jurisdictions whose code names a specific independent listing. Establish what your insurer, your inspector or your employer actually requires before you order, rather than after the lift is set into your floor.
Shipping and delivery
The KT-X95 travels by freight truck to addresses in the lower 48 states, with freight quoted live at checkout against your address so what you see is a current carrier rate rather than a figure that has aged. Unloading is the receiver's job: a scissor lift crate is heavy and low, so you need a forklift, a machine, or a plan and help. If that is not realistic, collecting from the carrier's local terminal is usually easier and the terminal has the equipment already. Delivery to a residential address carries a residential fee, applied at checkout when you choose that option.
Inspect before you sign. Walk the crate, look for crushed corners, bent platform edges, shifted banding and any trace of hydraulic oil, and write anything you find on the bill of lading while the driver is still standing there. Photograph it. A clean signature is the carrier's evidence that the lift arrived undamaged, and that is very difficult to argue with once the truck has gone.
Warranty
Katool publishes a written warranty document covering this lift. One warning applies to every hydraulic lift regardless of who built it: if something fails, do not open the power unit, a cylinder, a lock mechanism or the pneumatic release before a claim is raised. A disassembled component is normally treated as a modified one, and that is the fastest way to lose coverage that would otherwise have been honoured. Photograph the fault, record the serial number, and call first.
