Protect your tank occupants with NemProtect gyre guards. These reef safe guards are made from marine safe PETG material and are designed to stop anemones and small tank mates from getting sucked into and stuck inside your wave makers. These newly developed covers have had a specific safe zone designed inside them allowing more flow to pass through them compared to a traditional foam cover which clogs and requires more frequent cleaning. They also have incorporated into the design a 'Flow Director', which enables you to direct the flow more accurately to where you wish in the tank and also shields the gyre from the light to prevent unwanted algae growth. In addition to this the 'Flow Director' allows the wavemaker to be positioned closer to the surface with the reduced risk of air vortices.
The NemProtect guards are designed to easily slide over each end of the gyre, making installation and periodic cleaning easy to do.Simply remove the gyre wavemaker from your tank and remove any coraline algae or debris from it. Remove the rubber caps from each end, and slide the NemProtect guard from each end into place. Then rotate the guard around the wavemaker until it clips into the correct position using the internally designed guides. Replace the rubber end caps and return the gyre to your tank, where you can rotate the guards to aim the flow to where you require.We recommend periodic cleaning to ensure flow is not reduced through blockages."
