The Oase FiltoClear 3400 / 5200 / 8200 (gen 3) clamping ring holds the filter's upper and lower housings together under operating pressure. A loose, corroded, or damaged ring allows the housing halves to separate, causing leaks and potential loss of pressure that the filter needs to function correctly.
Maintains Pressure Integrity
FiltoClear filters operate as sealed pressure vessels — the pump forces water through the media under positive pressure. The stainless steel clamping ring is what keeps this pressure contained. Replace the ring if it shows rust, will not tighten fully, or if the filter leaks at the housing seam.

Installation
Depressurise the filter and disconnect the pump. Release the old clamping ring and separate the housing halves. Clean the mating surfaces, replace any worn gaskets, and rejoin the housings. Position the new ring and tighten evenly until the housing is sealed. Reconnect the pump and check for leaks under full operating pressure.
