Replacement Coarse Filter Pads for Pondmaster PM500, 2-Pack
Coarse filter pads are the first mechanical stage in the PM500 pressurized filter, they trap large debris before it reaches finer media and the biological chamber. When a coarse pad clogs, flow through the entire filter drops, stressing the pump and reducing filtration effectiveness across all stages. This 2-pack provides a replacement set so you always have a clean pad ready to swap in during maintenance.

How to Use
Remove the existing pad and rinse the new one in pond water before inserting. During heavy debris periods, spring leaf drop, peak summer feeding, check the coarse pad weekly and rinse or replace as needed. When the pad no longer returns to near-original thickness after rinsing, replace it. Never rinse filter pads in tap water, as chlorine kills beneficial bacteria that colonize the media over time.
Fits the Pondmaster PM500 pressurized filter only. Keep a second set on hand so filter maintenance does not interrupt pond filtration for more than a few minutes.
