The PondMax Replacement 9-Watt UV Lamp restores full UV-C output to PondMax pressure filters and UV clarifiers equipped with a 9W lamp. UV lamps degrade in output over time even when still glowing visibly, and annual replacement is the most reliable way to maintain consistent green water control.
Replace Annually to Maintain Green Water Control
UV-C lamps produce effective germicidal light output for approximately 9,000 hours of use, equivalent to a full Canadian pond season. After that point, visible glow continues but UV-C wavelength output has declined significantly, and the lamp no longer destroys algae cells with the same efficiency. Replacing the lamp each spring before the algae season begins ensures your UV clarifier operates at rated performance through the entire pond season. Compatible with PondMax PF Series filters and UV clarifier units using a 9W lamp.

How to Use
Disconnect the UV unit from power and drain the UV chamber before opening. Remove the old lamp by disconnecting the leads and unscrewing or pulling from the quartz sleeve. Insert the replacement lamp. Do not touch the glass envelope with bare hands, as skin oils reduce UV transmission. Reconnect the leads and test operation before reassembling the chamber. Record the replacement date to track the next annual service interval.
