Backwash Handle Replacement for PF4800 and PF7200 Filters
The PondMax Replacement Backwash Crank Handle operates the internal ball valve on the PondMax PF4800 Pressure Filter and PondMax PF7200 Pressure Filter, switching the filter between normal filtration and backwash cleaning mode. A stripped or broken handle leaves you unable to initiate a backwash cycle even though the internal valve itself is still functional.
Restores Manual Control of the Backwash Cycle
The crank handle connects to the internal valve stem through a keyed fitting that takes regular torque every time the filter is backwashed for cleaning. Over repeated seasons, the keyed connection can round off or the handle itself can crack from UV exposure and cold-weather brittleness, leaving the valve difficult or impossible to turn by hand. Replacing just the handle is a low-cost fix when the rest of the valve assembly still seals properly.

How to Use
Shut off the pump before servicing. Remove the damaged handle from the valve stem, noting the orientation of the keyed connection. Press or thread the new handle onto the stem in the same orientation and confirm it rotates smoothly through both filter and backwash positions before restarting the pump.
Ideal for PF4800 and PF7200 owners whose valve stem still turns with pliers but whose handle has stripped, cracked, or broken off.
