The thing that decides whether a large compressor is a straightforward purchase or a five-figure electrical project is the supply it wants. This is the SRP 4030E built for a 208-230V three-phase service — the utilisation voltage that an enormous number of commercial buildings already have at the panel. Buy the version that matches your building and the job is a feeder, a disconnect and a slab. Buy the wrong one and you are paying for a transformer before the compressor makes any air at all.
What it produces is 117 CFM at 125 PSI on a 100% duty cycle, from an oil-injected rotary screw air end mounted directly on its own 120-gallon ASME receiver.
Check your panel before you check anything else
Three-phase power reaches buildings at more than one voltage, and a motor is wound for one of them. This listing is the lower-voltage build. If your panel is fed at the higher commercial voltage, this is not the machine to order — we list the same model for that supply, and swapping after delivery is not a field job.
Our specification record deliberately gives amp draw and recommended breaker as consult a certified electrician rather than as fixed numbers, and that is the correct answer rather than a dodge. The current a motor draws at this voltage is substantial, the conductor and overcurrent protection depend on the length of your run and on local code, and none of that can be printed on a product page. Getting the supply, disconnect, breaker and conductors right is the customer's responsibility and needs a licensed electrician. Have that conversation before the machine ships, not while it is sitting on a pallet in your bay.
A screw machine is a different kind of machine
A reciprocating compressor makes air in pulses, using pistons, and it is designed to stop and cool between them. A rotary screw traps air between two meshing rotors and squeezes it continuously — there is no reciprocating mass, no stop-start thermal cycle, and no reason it cannot run all day. That is what a 100% duty cycle rating means here: continuous operation is the design condition, not something the machine tolerates.
The rotors are oil-injected, which cools and seals them while they turn, the drive is by belt, and the pump is cast iron. None of that is exotic; it is the standard recipe for a machine expected to accumulate thousands of running hours rather than hundreds.
The aftercooler, and the water you would otherwise be chasing
Compressing air concentrates the moisture that was in it. That water then condenses somewhere downstream — in your drops, your tools, your regulators, or the paint on a panel. An aftercooler is fitted here as standard, and its job is to drop the temperature of the discharge air immediately so the bulk of that moisture condenses at the machine, where the receiver and drain can deal with it, rather than in your pipework.
Be clear about the limit. An aftercooler removes a large proportion of the water; it is not a dryer, and our record confirms this configuration ships with no air dryer and no electronic drain valve. For general shop air, aftercooler plus a disciplined manual drain routine is workable. For spray finishing or plasma, add a dryer and budget for it now.
The controller
A 24V microprocessor controller runs the machine, with adjustable operating parameters and a continuous readout, backed by automatic starters that detect phase and sequence failure. That protection earns its keep on day one: a supply connected in the wrong rotation will turn a screw air end backwards, and a dropped phase will overheat a motor that appears to be running normally. The machine declines to run in either case.
Will It Fit?
The unit is 58.5 in long, 30.3 in wide and 39.8 in tall, and it weighs 1187 lbs. It is a horizontal, tank-mounted 2-In-1 package, so all of that is a single skid with nothing to assemble in place — but 1187 lbs concentrated on a small footprint wants proper concrete underneath it, and it needs clear space around it for airflow and for service access. The tank outlet is 1 inch; size your shop main accordingly rather than restricting the machine at its own connection. The cabinet is rated to run in ambient temperatures up to 113 °F, which is a ceiling, not an invitation — ventilate the compressor room.
The horsepower figure: a discrepancy worth knowing about
The manufacturer's overview and this model's own designation both give the motor as 30 HP, TEFC and IP55 rated. A separate specification field on our record lists a lower horsepower for the same unit. The two cannot both be right and we cannot settle it from what we hold, so we are flagging it rather than picking a side.
Where this bites is electrical design, which is the same place the voltage question bites. If the motor rating is an input to your feeder or transformer sizing, ask us to confirm it against the manufacturer specification sheet before your electrician orders material. The air end output, the receiver, the dimensions and the controls are consistent everywhere in our data.

Certification, stated plainly
The 120-gallon receiver is ASME certified. That stamp covers the pressure vessel: its design, its material, its fabrication and its inspection, which is the part of a compressor that is capable of hurting somebody if it is wrong. It is the certification most inspectors and insurers ask about, and it is a real one.
What it is not is a safety listing for the machine as an electrical assembly, and our data claims no such listing here. That distinction is easy to blur in marketing copy and we would rather not blur it. If your insurer, your local authority or your corporate safety policy requires an equipment listing covering the whole package, establish that requirement first and ask us to confirm what this unit carries before you commit.

Keep the commissioning paperwork and a maintenance log from day one — on rotary screw equipment, the two things that turn a straightforward claim into a slow one are an installation nobody documented and oil changes nobody recorded. If something goes wrong, contact us before you open anything. Do not strip the air end, the separator or the panel in advance of a claim; a machine that has already been dismantled is a much harder conversation.
