The SuperFish Floating Pond Thermometer is essential to monitor the temperature of the pond water as this affects how often and how much food fish should be fed. The Thermometer is simple and easy to read measuring pond water temperature accurately between 0 and 50°C. The 1.5m long nylon cord makes the thermometer convenient and easy to use.
The Floating Pond Thermometer allows you to provide the right pond care for every season. Different temperatures require different pond care to ensure a healthy pond environment. For example it depends on the water temperature as to whether you should add additional aeration or select a special fish food. The colder the temperature, the slower the metabolism and the energy requirements of the fish. The fish’s energy requirements increase conversely in summer.
Recommendations:
- Above 25°C - Provide additional aeration
- Below 10°C - Feed dedicated low-temperature pond food
- Below 4°C -Stop feeding
