Description
Tuxedo RJ-45 Rolling Bridge Jack
The RJ-45 is a 4,500 lb rolling bridge jack that runs on a hand pump. No air line, no compressor, no hose trailing across the bay. On a four-post lift that difference decides where the jack can be used at all: a home garage without compressed air can still lift the wheels free of the runways, and a professional bay gets one less hose to trip over and one less air drop to plumb. Everything a bridge jack needs to do — roll along the jack rails, position under a lift point, raise a level load and hold it — this one does with a lever and a pump.
What a bridge jack is actually for
A four-post lift is a drive-on lift. It raises the vehicle on its own wheels, which is ideal for storage, exhaust and underbody work and useless the moment you need a wheel off. A rolling bridge jack sits across the two runways, rolls to the axle you want, and lifts that end of the car clear of the deck so the wheels hang free. Brake jobs, suspension work, wheel and tire changes and alignment prep all become possible on a lift that could not otherwise do them. The RJ-45 is the scissor-style version of that tool, and a scissor mechanism raises squarely and keeps the load level as it goes up.
Rolling, contact and locking
Spring-loaded rollers keep the jack in positive contact with the jack rails as it moves, which is what stops the assembly from wandering or sitting crooked in the rail while you are trying to line it up under a pinch weld. Three safety lock positions hold the load mechanically once it is up, rather than leaving the hydraulics to do the holding — hydraulics raise the car, locks are what keep it there. The frame carries a powder coat finish, which on a component that lives in the runway of a lift and takes constant knocks from tools and boots is a practical choice rather than a decorative one.
Will it fit your lift?
This is the section to read twice, because a bridge jack that does not match your lift is an expensive paperweight.
Rail spacing. The base adjusts from 33.90" to 49.60", which is what lets it span the jack rails on a range of four-post lifts rather than one model. Measure your own rail centres and confirm they fall inside that window.
Reach across the vehicle. The arms extend from 34.25" to 57.48", so the pads can be brought in under a narrow sports car or run out to the lift points on a wide truck.
Height, and this is the important one. On its own the jack lifts from 3.75" to 11.00" at the top of the pad, and the pad sits 3.75" above the runway when fully lowered. Two extension sets are supplied. With the 1-1/2" extensions fitted the range becomes 5.25" to 12.50", and with the 5" extensions it becomes 8.75" to 16.00". Work out the height you need at the vehicle's lift points, on your lift, at the ride height you actually work at — then check it against the correct one of those three ranges, not against the biggest number on the page.
The jack weighs 363 lbs, so plan how it will be lifted into the runways. Confirming compatibility with your specific lift, and installing the jack safely, are the customer's responsibility.
Perfect for
- Home garages with a four-post storage lift and no compressed air — the hand pump is the whole reason this model exists.
- Professional bays wanting wheels-free service on a drive-on lift without adding an air drop.
- Mobile and shared workshops where a jack may move between lifts of different rail spacings.
- Collectors and enthusiasts doing their own brake, suspension and wheel work on a storage lift.
What comes with it
The published inclusions are the jack itself with its hand pump, the spring-loaded rail rollers, and two sets of extensions — the 1-1/2" and the 5", supplied as a set of two of each. Note the wording: two of each, which is what a single jack needs to sit level under a pair of lift points. Nothing else is stated in this model's data, so if you are expecting adaptors or pads beyond that, ask us to confirm in writing before ordering.

Approvals: an honest note
Our records for this jack carry no third-party safety-listing claim, and we will not imply one that the documentation does not support. A device that holds a vehicle above a technician is exactly the category where an insurer, an employer's equipment policy or a local inspector may require a specific listing. If you are working to such a requirement, name it and we will confirm in writing what the manufacturer can supply before you commit to the order.
Shipping and delivery
Freight to the lower 48 states, quoted live against your delivery address during checkout instead of estimated. Decide before you buy how 363 lbs will come off the truck: forklift, loading dock, adequate hands and equipment, or a terminal pickup you arrange with the carrier. Residential addresses carry a residential fee, applied at checkout where it is due, and warehouse pickup is available.
Inspect the shipment at delivery, before signing. Look for punctures, crushed corners and banding that has moved, and note anything you find on the bill of lading with the driver there. A note on the paperwork is what makes a damage claim work; a clean signature is what makes it fail.
Warranty
Warranty runs through our warranty claims page. Please do not strip the pump, the cylinder or the lock mechanism before opening a claim — self-diagnosis by disassembly is the commonest reason a valid claim is turned down. Photograph the fault, note the serial number, and contact us first.
