The Ultra Reef BOREI UKB range of protein skimmers is a method of filtration that allows the removal of the surfactants from seawater. It pumps a mixture of aquarium water and air bubbles into a mixing chamber. By exploiting the properties of the film surface tension between air and water, it generates a foam overflowing from the main chamber, and then into a collection cup which allows for easy removal.

The Ultra Reef products are based on Italian design and production. paired with high-quality materials this makes any Ultra Reef device a premium piece of equipment for any aquarium. The parts are made via CNC machining from full blocks of durable PVC, while the assembly is made with anti-corrosive titanium screws for an extremely long service life. Precise adjustment and electronic pump
Skimmer's internal water level regulation is achieved by an innovative rotational system. The entire skimmer rotate on its base do open and close the regulation valve. The DC pumps includes an easy-to-use controller, which integrated with speed regulation system, at 60 second "delayed start" (after blackout) and a 5 minutes "pause" button.
Modular mounting system
The skimmer can be easily disassembled by removing a single screw. All the acrylic parts and the mechanisms are assembled by means of coupling systems and Easy Flip gaskets, which allow you to remove all the components during the cleaning of the unit. Composed of very few pieces it can be assembled or disassembled in a few seconds
Quieter than a whisper
The skimmer has an integrated silencer that minimises the noise caused by the air during pumping. The compact exhaust system is submerged in the base of the skimmer for silent operation as the clean water is discharged back into the tank. Rubber feet on the bottom absorb vibrations
