Description
AMGO LR06 Portable Low Rise Lift
The LR06 is a 6,000 lbs low-rise lift built to be moved. Gross weight is 849 lbs (385kg) and the power unit travels with the lift on its own stand, which makes this one of the few vehicle lifts a shop can push aside at the end of a busy season and pull back out when the work returns. No anchor pattern to commit to, no bay given up permanently, and no ceiling height to design around. That portability is the real reason to choose the LR06, and it is the part the manufacturer's own blurb never quite says out loud.
What you trade for giving up full rise is speed and access. The runways travel from 4 1/8" (105mm) at rest to 23 5/8" (600mm) at full height in 25 seconds. That is a working height aimed squarely at tires, brakes, wheels, exhaust hangers and body panels, reached quickly enough that a technician is not standing and waiting between vehicles.
Will It Fit?
A low-rise lift is a floor-space decision rather than a ceiling decision, so the numbers that matter are the footprint and the collapsed height:
- Overall footprint: 76 1/4" (1938mm) long by 70" (1780mm) wide. Measure the parked position and the working position, and leave room to open doors on both sides once a vehicle is up.
- Runways: 53 1/4" (1352mm) long, set 34 1/8" (868mm) apart between them. The gap between runways is what determines whether a given vehicle's pinch welds or frame rails land where you need them, so check it against the vehicles you actually work on rather than against a class of vehicle.
- Collapsed height: 4 1/8" (105mm). This is the figure that decides whether a low, wide-bodied car can be driven or rolled over the lift at all.
- Power: 1.0HP 110V/60Hz, single phase. Have an electrician confirm the circuit and receptacle before delivery rather than after.
- Weight: 849 lbs (385kg). Portable does not mean light. Plan the route it will take from the delivery vehicle to the floor, including any thresholds, ramps or door widths on the way.
Fitment, floor condition and electrical supply are the buyer's responsibility. The floor a portable lift sits on has to be flat, level and sound in every position you intend to use it, not just where it was first set down. If you are unsure about any of the measurements above against your own space, send us the space and we will check it with you before you order.
Why speed matters more on a low-rise than on a two-post
A two-post lift is raised once and worked under for an hour. A low-rise is raised and lowered constantly: tire on, tire off, wheel out, road test, back on the lift. The cycle time is therefore a direct labour cost, and the LR06's full travel of 4 1/8" (105mm) to 23 5/8" (600mm) in 25 seconds is what makes it viable as a high-turnover tire and brake position rather than a slow second bay. Over a day of wheel work, a lift that is quick both ways gives back real minutes.
Mechanical locks, and why the release matters
The LR06 carries multiple safety locks with a mechanical release. Two things follow from that for the person using it. First, the load rests on steel, not on hydraulic pressure, once the lift is set on a lock — hydraulics hold a load, locks are what keep it there. Second, multiple lock positions mean you can pick a height that suits the job and the technician instead of accepting whatever height the lift stops at, which matters more than it sounds for anyone spending a shift bent over a wheel arch.
Built to be relocated, not just described as portable
Portability on a vehicle lift usually means "it can be moved with a forklift and a free afternoon". Here the power unit sits on its own stand and moves with the lift, so relocating the LR06 does not mean disconnecting and re-plumbing a wall-mounted pump. High-density rubber pads are included, so the contact points that actually touch a vehicle's underside come in the box rather than as an afterthought purchase.
Perfect For
- Tire and wheel shops that need a fast, repeatable working height rather than a full-rise bay.
- Body and detail shops where the job is panel, sill and lower-body access at waist height.
- Buildings with a low ceiling — a converted unit, a basement garage, an older workshop — where a full-rise lift simply will not go.
- Seasonal capacity: an extra bay for a winter tire rush that goes back into storage in spring.
- Home garages where the lift has to share the building with cars, storage and everything else, and be moved out of the way regularly.
What's in the Box
The lift with its power unit and power unit stand, and a set of high-density rubber pads. Anything beyond that — extra adapters, accessories, or a specific pad shape for an unusual contact point — is not something we will guess at on this page. Ask us before you order and we will confirm against the current packing list rather than a description written years ago.

Certification, stated honestly
We do not hold a published third-party safety listing for this model, so we do not claim one. That distinction is worth understanding rather than glossing over: a manufacturer's own declaration that a product meets a standard is not the same document as an independent testing body's listing of that product, and some commercial insurance policies, fleet operations and local jurisdictions specifically require the latter. If a listing is a condition of your insurance or your local code, tell us before you order and we will confirm in writing what documentation is available for this model, so the answer is settled well ahead of delivery.
Shipping and Delivery
This lift ships as freight to the lower 48. Freight is quoted live against your address at checkout, so what you see is the current rate rather than an estimate baked into a page. You will need to be able to take it off the truck — a forklift, a loading dock, or enough hands and equipment for a crated item of this weight — or choose collection from one of our warehouses instead. Deliveries to a residential address carry a residential fee.
Inspect the crate before you sign. Note any damage on the bill of lading at the time of delivery, with photographs, and do it while the driver is still there. A signature on a clean bill of lading is the carrier's evidence that the shipment arrived intact, and it is very difficult to argue with afterwards.
Warranty
AMGO's warranty terms for this model are handled through our warranty claims page, and we will send you the current document before you order if the terms bear on your decision. One practical warning that applies to every lift we sell: if something fails, photograph it in place and contact us before anything is dismantled. A component that has already been taken apart is generally treated as modified, which turns a straightforward claim into an argument.
