How does PhosMAX Basic work?
Unique chemical compounds applied in PhosMAX Basic have perfect sorptive properties. Absorbing dissolved phosphate ions from water, they exceptionally effectively prevent algae development.
When and where does PhosMAX Basic prove itself?
PhosMAX Basic perfectly proves itself as a filter bed in canister filters, overflow filters, internal filters with loose media chambers (e.g. TURBOFILTER), as well as in sumps and filtration columns. Is is specially recommended for tanks with large quantities of fish fed with meat foods (e.g. large cichlids, catfish) and devoid of plants being natural phosphate absorbents. Application of PhosMAX Basic allows for limitation of water replacement frequency and effectively prevents development of algae in the tank.
How to apply PhosMAX Basic?
PhosMAX Basic is ready for use out of the box and does not require rinsing or any other additional actions. Place the contents of the package in filtration basket or filtration chamber. In order to ensure optimum application results it is recommended to place the PhosMAX Basic element behind the elements for mechanical and biological filtration.
How long does PhosMAX Basic work?
The manner of operation of the PhosMAX Basic element (sorption) causes it to sustain gradual packing and wear. For the purpose of maintaining optimum filtration properties it is recommended to replace it not less frequently than every 4 weeks. One package ensures filtration in a ca. 200 l aquarium for ca. 30 days.
