The Aquascape UltraKlean 2000/3500 Pressure Filter Replacement Valve Kit provides the backwash valve assembly for the UltraKlean 2000 and 3500 pressure filter units. Replace when the valve leaks, seizes, or no longer cycles between filter and backwash positions reliably.
Restore Full Backwash Function to the Pressure Filter
The backwash valve is the mechanism that reverses flow to clean the filter media bed without disassembling the housing. A valve that sticks, leaks, or fails to seal the diverter fully leaves the media bed unable to clean properly, reducing filter effectiveness and requiring manual media removal to clean. Replacing the valve assembly restores the backwash cycle that makes pressure filters low-maintenance compared to open biofilters.

How to Use
Shut down the pump and relieve pressure from the housing before removing the valve assembly. Unthread the existing valve from the housing port. Install the replacement valve and hand-tighten, then one quarter-turn with a wrench. Restart the pump and cycle through the backwash positions to confirm full function without leaks at the valve-housing interface. Inspect valve seals annually at spring startup.
