At 35W and 60 LPM, it maintains dissolved oxygen levels in larger koi ponds and water gardens through the hottest Canadian summers and the coldest winters, when fish survival depends on adequate oxygen exchange and an open hole in the ice.

High Output for Larger Ponds

The 60 LPM Typhoon is rated to a maximum working depth of 3.4 metres (11 feet) at 5 PSI — deep enough to run a full deep-water diffuser system for complete pond destratification. This circulation prevents thermal stratification in summer, which depletes bottom oxygen and causes fish stress. In winter, the continuous air stream through a diffuser maintains an ice-free zone, allowing CO2 to escape and oxygen to enter even when pond surfaces are frozen solid across Canada's cold months.

How to Use

Mount the Typhoon 60 LPM inside an aeration cabinet or weatherproof outdoor housing above the waterline. Connect 3/8-inch airline tubing to one or two diffusers. For ponds up to 20,000 L (5,300 gal) with moderate fish loads, the 60 LPM output provides adequate circulation. Pair with deep-water diffusers for destratification, or use multiple shallow diffusers to cover a wider surface area. Safe for koi, goldfish, turtles, and all aquatic life.
