Description
Atlas Platinum RJ7000: a certified accessory is certified with something
The RJ7000 is listed by Atlas as an ALI certified accessory, recommended for the Platinum PVL14 and the Platinum PVL14OF-EXT. Read that sentence carefully, because it is the most valuable thing on this page and it is routinely read wrong. An accessory listing is granted for the accessory in the combination it was assessed in. It is a statement about this jack on those lifts. It is not a transferable badge that certifies whatever four-post lift you happen to own once this jack is sitting on it, and any seller implying otherwise is selling you a misunderstanding.
Used as intended, that pairing is exactly what you want. A four-post lift holds a vehicle on its runways by the tyres; a rolling bridge jack is what gets the wheels off the ground without taking the car off the lift. Doing that with a certified, purpose-built jack that was assessed on the lift you own is a materially different proposition from wedging a trolley jack between the runways.
The rest of the specification is straightforward: 7,000 lbs, air over hydraulic, a scissor mechanism and two mechanical lock positions.
Will It Fit?
This is the section the previous version of this page did not have, and it is the only section that decides whether the jack is usable on your lift.
- Runway spacing. The RJ7000 spans a distance between runways of 36 inches to 45 inches. Measure the inside gap between your runways at both ends before ordering. If your lift is outside that window, this jack does not fit it and no adapter changes that.
- Its own width. Minimum 36 inches, maximum 45 1/2 inches.
- How low it starts. Minimum lifting height 12 1/2 inches. That is the figure that decides whether it will roll under the car sitting on your runways, and it is the one buyers most often forget.
- How high it goes. Maximum lifting height with adapters 27 1/2 inches.
- Adapter pads. The double screw-up adapters adjust between 1 1/2 inches and 4 inches, which is how you reach a pinch weld on a vehicle that sits higher than a saloon.
- Air. It runs on delivered shop air up to 115 PSI. Do not exceed that; over-pressure is how these get damaged.
- Delivery weight is 390 lbs, crated.
Confirming your runway spacing and the clearance under your vehicles is the buyer's responsibility. Send us the make and model of your four-post lift and the inside runway measurement and we will confirm the fit in writing before you order.
Why two lock positions, and what they replace
The RJ7000 has two mechanical safety lock positions. Once a lock is engaged, the load sits on steel and not on air pressure or hydraulic fluid. That is the whole argument: air over hydraulic is a convenient way to raise a load, and a convenient way to raise a load is not a safe way to hold one for an hour while someone works underneath. Two positions rather than one means there is a realistic chance that a lock lands at a height you actually want, instead of being a feature you skip because the only lock is at the wrong place.
The scissor mechanism, and why low profile matters here
A scissor geometry raises both pads together and level, rather than tipping the load as it lifts, which is what you need when both pads are under one axle of a car that is already suspended on the runways of a lift. The compact, low-profile body is not a styling note either: on a four-post lift the jack has to pass under the lowest point of the vehicle while the vehicle is on the runways, and every inch of jack height is an inch of car that has to be higher than it. Smooth rolling action is the third part of the same argument — a jack that has to be fought into position under a car is a jack that gets positioned approximately.
Perfect For
- A shop running a Platinum PVL14 or PVL14OF-EXT, which is the pairing the certification was assessed on.
- A four-post lift used for service, not just storage — wheels, brakes, suspension and exhaust work all need the tyres off the runways.
- Any four-post owner whose runway gap falls between 36 inches and 45 inches, once measured.
What is in the box
Per this page's feature list: the jack itself with its air/hydraulic pump, and the double screw-up adapters. Powder coated finish. Not included: shop air, and any lift-specific bridge or spacer your particular four-post might need — ask us before assuming.

Certification, precisely
ALI certified accessory, recommended for the Platinum PVL14 and PVL14OF-EXT — that is the claim Atlas makes and the claim we repeat, with the scope attached rather than removed. If your insurer, your fleet contract or a local inspection asks specifically what is certified and in what combination, ask us in writing and we will get the scope of the listing from Atlas rather than paraphrase a certificate we did not issue.
Shipping and delivery
This is a freight shipment inside the lower 48 states, quoted live at checkout rather than printed here, because freight rates move. Two things decide whether delivery day goes well. First, unloading is yours to arrange: a freight truck will not lift the crate off the trailer for you, so you need a forklift, a skid steer or a comparable machine at the delivery address, or you take the shipment at the carrier terminal instead. Tell us which before it ships. Second, inspect before you sign. Walk the crate, look for crushed corners, punctures, shifted banding and oil marks, and write anything you find on the delivery receipt before the driver leaves. A signed clean receipt is the carrier's proof that the freight arrived undamaged, and a concealed-damage claim raised afterwards is a far harder argument than three words written on the paperwork. Residential delivery is available and carries a residential fee. Warehouse pickup is available at our stocking locations if you would rather collect it.
Warranty
1 year, parts only, as published in this page's feature list. If the pump, a cylinder or a lock gives trouble, contact us before taking anything apart — a dismantled unit is the most common reason a legitimate claim is declined.
