Description
iDEAL PTDT-PW-1000: a tear-down bench with a 3.5 gallon parts washer that retracts into it
The reason to buy this table rather than a bench and a washer is that the washer is retractable. It pulls out when you need to clean a component and goes back under the deck when you need the whole work surface, so a single station handles strip-down and cleaning without the two jobs fighting over floor space. The parts washer holds 3.5 gallons and runs on a 110VAC supply; the table's own fluid basin, separate from it, takes 3 gallons and drains.
Underneath the features is a bench built to be worked on: 2.38mm steel, a support capacity of 1,000 lbs, and 4" swivel poly casters with two of them locking.
Will It Fit?
- Space. Overall size is 47" wide, 32" deep and 41" tall. Allow clearance on the washer side as well — the whole point of the design is that the washer comes out, so the footprint in use is larger than the footprint parked.
- Power. The parts washer needs a 110VAC outlet. Nothing else on the table is powered.
- Floor. It rolls on 4" swivel poly casters, two of which lock. That is a sound-floor specification: casters this size cross a sealed shop floor easily and struggle on broken or heavily pitted concrete.
- Delivery and build. It ships at 213 lbs across several pieces and is a bolt-together assembly. Plan for a build session and a second pair of hands.
Confirming your outlet, your floor and your access route is the customer's responsibility. Ask us before ordering if any of it is tight.
Two fluid systems, doing different jobs
It is worth being precise about this, because the two capacities are easy to read as one number. The parts washer is the 3.5 gallon system: pumped solvent, for cleaning components. The fluid basin is a separate 3 gallon catch under the work surface, fed by the integrated table drain, for the oil, coolant and fuel that come out of an assembly while you are taking it apart. Draining into a basin and cleaning in a washer are different problems, and this table treats them separately rather than pretending one tank does both.
What 2.38mm steel and 1,000 lbs actually buy you
A tear-down table is judged on whether it flexes. A gearbox or a cylinder head landed on a thin deck moves the whole bench, and a bench that moves while you are breaking a fastener is a bench you brace against instead of working on. 2.38mm steel with a 1,000 lbs support capacity is a specification for landing heavy assemblies and then applying real torque to them — and the same rigidity is what keeps a rolling table square over years of being pushed loaded across a shop.
The drawer, the drain and the casters
The storage drawer locks, which on a shared shop floor is the difference between the special tools for a job staying with the bench and going missing. The table drain and catch basin are integrated rather than bolted on, so the fluid path is designed in and does not depend on a tray someone remembered to slide underneath. The 4" swivel casters give it mobility and the two locking ones give it a fixed position when the work needs one — a bench that both moves and stops is worth more than either alone.
Perfect For
- Engine, transmission and driveline shops where strip-down and cleaning are the same afternoon's work.
- General repair bays that want a heavy tear-down surface without giving up a permanent corner to a separate washer.
- Fleet, agricultural and industrial maintenance handling dirty assemblies that must be cleaned before inspection.
- Serious home and restoration workshops where one station has to do several jobs.
What's in the Box
From this product's own feature list: the steel table with integrated drain and catch basin, the retractable 3.5 gallon parts washer, a lockable storage drawer, and 4" swivel poly casters with two locking. It is an easy bolt-together assembly, so expect hardware and instructions rather than a finished unit. Solvent is not supplied. Ask us if you want the packing list confirmed before you order.

On listings and approvals, stated plainly
No independent third-party listing is claimed anywhere in the published data for this table, including for the washer's electrical assembly. That is a documentation fact, not a judgement on the build — but solvent handling and solvent storage are regulated in many jurisdictions and are frequently written into an insurer's conditions. Check what applies to your premises before you choose a cleaning fluid for it, and ask us if you need iDEAL's own statement in writing.
Shipping and delivery
Live freight quoting at checkout, lower 48 states. A crated 213 lbs shipment goes by freight carrier rather than parcel, which brings the usual three conditions: unloading is arranged at your end or you collect from the carrier's terminal, a residential address adds a residential fee charged once, and the crate is inspected before signature. Write any damage on the delivery receipt at the kerb — with a multi-piece flat-packed shipment, also count the pieces against the paperwork before the driver leaves.
Warranty
We publish the iDEAL claims route rather than a term of our own invention; ask and we will confirm the current warranty in writing before your order ships. Whatever it says, do not take a suspect pump or drain assembly apart before opening a claim. The condition it failed in is the evidence, and a unit already dismantled on a bench cannot be assessed.
