Product Description
iDEAL U-2200IEH-XR-BLK: a bench deck that opens up where you need to reach
A lift bench solves your back and creates a new problem: the machine is now sitting on a solid steel table, and the parts you want are underneath it. The U-2200IEH-XR-BLK is built around that problem. Its deck is not a fixed slab — side extensions with centre drop panels widen the surface for a machine broader than the platform and then drop away to open the middle, and a rear drop-down service panel does the same at the back end where the driveline, hitch and exhaust sit. You get a table when you want a table and a hole when you want access.
The bench itself is rated at 2,200 lbs, gives a 65" x 88.6" working platform, and raises it to 47" from a 7" resting height on a self-contained 110V electric/hydraulic unit.
Where the deck opens, and why it matters
Three separate parts of this platform move, and each one exists for a different job.
The side extensions widen the deck. A UTV that is wider than the bench will otherwise sit with its tyres hanging over the edge, which is unpleasant to work around and worse to strap down; the extensions give you a surface right out to the wheel.
The centre drop panels are the interesting part. Drop them and the middle of the deck is open, so skid plates, the belly of the chassis and anything routed down the centre of the machine can be reached from below while the vehicle stays exactly where it is. Without that, the alternative is moving the machine on the deck and hoping the lift points still line up.
The rear service panel folds down to open the tail. On a side-by-side that is where most of the awkward work lives, and it is the difference between a job you can do on the bench and one where the machine comes off again.
Getting the machine up there
Loading uses a retractable ramp that runs the full width of the bench, so lining up two wheels on a narrow strip is not part of the process, and the ramp folds out of the way afterwards rather than living permanently in front of the bench. The 7" minimum height keeps the ramp angle gentle for anything with limited clearance. Once the machine is on, wheel stops and tie-down anchor eye bolts hold it, and a stabilizer bar steadies the bench under a load that moves while you work on it.
Will It Fit?
- Working area. Platform 65" x 88.6"; overall width 65"; overall length 116-1/2" with the ramp out.
- Raised height. 47" at full travel (47-1/4" at the top). Add the height of the tallest machine you will lift and compare that with your ceiling and your door.
- Lowered height. 7".
- Power. 110V, 60Hz, single phase — a standard shop outlet. No electrical work needed before it can be used, which for a bench of this size is not a given.
- Floor. Level and sound. It is not anchored, so the surface it stands on is doing real work.
Checking the room, the ceiling and the socket before you order is the buyer's responsibility.
Controls
The power unit is integrated into the bench, so there is no separate stand to find space for and nothing to plumb. It is driven from a hand-held remote pendant, which means you can watch the machine and the deck from wherever you need to stand rather than from a fixed panel. Full travel up or down takes about 30 seconds. Releasing the safety locks is done with a magnetic lock release rather than a mechanical lever — powered, repeatable, and considerably easier on a loaded bench.
Two things to get in writing before you buy
How many locking positions it has. Published figures differ: the feature list gives one number, and the manufacturer publishes a larger one along with the individual heights it locks at. A lock count is a safety specification rather than a marketing detail, so neither figure is quoted in this description. Get the lock count and the lock heights from us in writing before you buy, especially if anyone will be reaching under a raised load.
What it weighs crated. The published shipping weight is 970 lbs and the manufacturer agrees with it. A heavier figure sits in one of our internal freight records, which can push a delivery quote up. It changes nothing about the bench. Confirm the crated weight with us in writing before you arrange the unload, and say something if the freight looks steep.
Perfect For
- UTV and side-by-side specialists, where the drop panels earn their keep every day.
- Powersport dealers needing a bench that presents well in a customer-facing workshop.
- Farms, estates and utility fleets servicing their own machines.
- Home workshops with one ordinary socket and a machine they are tired of lying under.
What's in the Box
Per the manufacturer's feature list: the bench and its 65" x 88.6" platform, side extensions with centre drop panels, the rear drop-down service panel, the full-width retractable ramp system, the integrated 110V electric/hydraulic power unit, the hand-held remote control pendant, the magnetic lock release, the stabilizer bar, wheel stops and tie-down anchor eye bolts. The M-Vise and M-Chock are listed as optional — the deck is drilled to accept them, but they are bought separately.

Certification, stated plainly
Nothing in our data for the U-2200IEH-XR-BLK records an independent safety listing for this bench, and we would rather say that than leave an impression. The difference is not pedantry: a manufacturer's own statement that a machine meets a standard is a different document from an independent North American lift safety listing carried out by an outside body, and there are insurers, fleet contracts and local inspectors who will only take the second. Find out whether that applies to your situation, and ask us to confirm what this model carries before ordering.
Shipping and delivery
Freight only, lower 48, quoted live at checkout rather than fixed in the page. It comes crated on a pallet at a weight no pair of people is going to lift, so decide now whether you have a forklift or a pallet truck and a dock at the delivery address — and if you do not, take terminal pickup and collect it on a trailer, which is a perfectly normal way to buy equipment like this. Residential addresses carry a residential fee, so flag it up front if the delivery point is a house. Before you sign anything, look the crate over for damage, check the item count, and record what you find on the bill of lading. That written note is what any later claim depends on.
Warranty
The manufacturer's warranty covers this bench; the terms currently in force live on our warranty claims page, which is deliberately the only place we state them — a term length typed into a description goes stale and gets copied. If a fault appears, get in touch before touching it. Stripping a component down ahead of an agreed claim turns a replacement into a debate about who caused what, so photograph the fault and the serial plate and call us first.
