Physical Design & Installation

The SWITCHLD GEN2 features a compact design constructed from polycarbonate and aluminum, specifically engineered to fit into standard single gang electrical boxes which serve as the integrated junction box for wiring. The black finish and decorator-style interface allow it to blend seamlessly with modern interiors. It includes 6-inch 18AWG wire leads for straightforward wiring.

Dimming & Controls

This unit utilizes high-frequency 16kHz PWM dimming to provide smooth, flicker-free control from 100% down to 0.3%. It supports both single pole and 3-way wiring configurations. Because the driver is integrated with the dimmer, there is no need for external dimming modules or compatibility testing. There is no minimum load requirement for this driver, ensuring stable performance even with low-wattage LED loads.

Performance & Build

Built for reliability, the driver includes comprehensive protection features such as hiccup-mode overload protection, short circuit protection with auto-recovery, and over-temperature surge protection. It is UL Class 2 compliant and IP20 rated for indoor use, maintaining a high power factor of 0.99 and a life rating of 30,000 hours at maximum case temperature.
