Lutron Caseta Original Smart Switch Expansion Kit — White, with Pico Remote

The Lutron P-PKG1WS-WH is a complete smart switch expansion kit in white, combining the Original Smart Switch with a Pico Original Remote for Switches, a Claro Wallplate, and install essentials (wire connectors and screws). Get everything you need to add a second "switch" almost anywhere — no cutting holes, no additional wiring, and no smart hub required for basic operation.

What's in the Kit

• Original Smart Switch: One hardwired in-wall switch that can control up to 6A of LED, halogen, incandescent, or CFL lighting loads, or 3A of fan loads. Perfect for on/off control of lights, ceiling fans, and exhaust fans.
• Pico Original Remote for Switches: Smart remote for on/off control from two locations. Pair the remote with the Caséta switch and mount it to the wall for additional control. Can be wall-mounted — no wiring needed — or placed on a tabletop with the addition of a pedestal (sold separately).
• Claro Wallplate: Gives the switch a clean, finished look.
• Install Essentials: Includes wire connectors and screws — everything you need to get started.

Key Features

• Works with Most Common Loads: Controls up to 6A of LED, ELV, MLV, or fluorescent lighting, as well as 3A fan loads — broad compatibility with the most common fixture types.
• Neutral Wire Required: All homes built after 1973 in the US, or 1980 in Canada, are required to have neutral wires.
• No Wi-Fi, No Worries: Communicates directly with Caséta smart controls via Lutron's ultra-reliable Clear Connect RF technology. No smart hub required for basic operation.
• Industry-Leading Battery Life: The Pico smart remote offers a 10-year typical battery life for worry-free, year-over-year reliability.
• Add Control Exactly Where You Need It: Mount the Pico remote over a wallbox or on any wall surface — no cutting holes or running wires required.
• Perfect for On/Off Control: Ideal for lights, ceiling fans, and exhaust fans in any room of the home.

Construction & Interface

The P-PKG1WS-WH features a paddle-style rocker switch designed to match existing Caséta and Claro devices for a consistent look throughout your home. The Pico remote installs over a wallbox or directly on any wall surface — no wiring required.

Wiring & Installation

The Original Smart Switch requires a neutral wire and supports single-pole and multi-location configurations. The Pico remote pairs directly to the switch without a smart hub — for advanced features like app control, scheduling, and voice assistant integration, the Lutron Smart Hub (sold separately) is required.
