The Magnum Energy MS2812 is a 2,800W 12V pure sine wave inverter/charger built for mobile, backup, off-grid, RV, marine, and emergency vehicle applications requiring reliable utility-grade power and an integrated Power Factor Corrected battery charger in a single rugged unit.
Key Features
- Pure Sine Wave Output Delivers utility-grade 120Vac pure sine wave power at 60Hz ±0.1Hz with less than 5% THD, suitable for sensitive electronics, medical equipment, and variable-speed motor loads.
- Power Factor Corrected Charger Integrated PFC charger draws 25–30% less AC current from a generator than conventional chargers, with 125A continuous DC output at 25°C and a power factor above 0.95.
- Five-Stage Battery Charging Bulk, Absorb, Float, Equalize (via remote), and Battery Saver stages maximize battery life and health, with support for LFP, Gel, Flooded, AGM1, and AGM2 battery profile presets.
- 60A Transfer Relay Dual-input 60A transfer relay capability allows seamless switching between shore power or generator and inverter output, with a minimum 16ms AC relay transfer time.
- Versatile Mounting & Wiring Shelf, bulkhead, or inverted mounting options combined with an extra-large AC terminal block and 360° DC connection terminals with covers simplify installation in tight spaces.
The MS2812 delivers 2,800W continuous output from a 12V battery bank (9–16.8Vdc range) with a peak inverter efficiency of 90%, a 5-second surge capacity of 3,900W, and a maximum continuous input current of 373ADC. No-load power consumption is just 30W while inverting and under 8W in search mode.
Certified ETL Listed to UL/cUL 458 for mobile use and meeting KKK-A-1822E emergency vehicle standards, the MS2812 is built for demanding field deployment. Corrosion protection includes conformal-coated PCBs, powder-coated chassis, and stainless steel fasteners throughout, with dual 92mm variable-speed brushless DC fans providing 0–120 cfm of internal cooling.
RS485 communication port, remote port, and battery temperature compensation are all standard, with optional accessories including ME-RC, ME-ARC, and ME-MR remote controls, MagWeb, AGS automatic generator start, and RV-C Bridge. A three-year parts and labor warranty covers all MS Series models.
