Description

Nishine Lure Works is proud to introduce their latest innovation – the Saugeen 40, a premium BFS (Bait Finesse System) lure designed by Hiroshi Nishine, now officially available for the North American and European markets.

Originally launched in Japan earlier this year, the Saugeen 40 quickly earned high praise from anglers and reviewers alike. Due to overwhelming demand, they were unable to produce enough for international release—until now.

The Saugeen 40 was created to replicate the subtle, natural movement of small baitfish. By leveraging the Tail Drive System, this tiny, slim-bodied lure achieves lifelike swim action that’s impossible with a front lip alone.

A hard bait the size of a fry fish moving so vividly in the water… isn’t that exciting?

The Saugeen 40 is ideal for targeting selective fish feeding on micro bait—whether in mountain streams, lakes, or coastal waters.

Nishine Lure Works Saugeen 40 Features:
  • Length: 1.57"
  • Weight: 0.11 oz
  • Ideal for Bait Finesse System (BFS) Setups
  • Hooks: Ichikawa Fishing Kamakiri Treble Light Wire #12
  • Sink Rate: 20"/sec
